1 2011 Spring/Summer Newsletter Vol I of 2 Letter from the President Newsletter available for download at: Another great Spring Art Show in the books! A BIG THANK YOU to Connie Allen and her ENTIRE volunteer crew! We could not put on such a spectacular show without so many dedicated volunteers. It was our first year holding the show at Parrish Medical Center, and what a fabulous facility! We are looking forward to a continued relationship with Parrish. Elections are here, and have open spots to fill. I encourage ALL of you to look deep to see if you have the time and commitment to make the Art League fantastic. I will not be able to continue as President next year due to my job. It has been an extreme HONOR to serve all of you and the League these past 2 years. I have enjoyed every moment of it. Thank you to everyone!! Although I won t be on the Board, you will still see me at events. Curtis J. Kettman, President Thank You: to Bob Bielling and Devorah for all the hard work on the cleaning the back room. You rock! Welcome New Members: Pat Deen Earl Cockerham Karen Scheafer Olga Intrago Rita Diguer Sandy Brooker Glad to have you join TAL, welcome! Guest Artist of the Month A big thank you goes out to TAL member Jacquie Beberman for her lively and informative seminar on gourds and gourd art. She covered the sourcing of the gourds as well as the preparatory tasks needed to begin a project. As is Jacquie's style, the sky s the limit when it come to embellishing and painting these works of art. 1
