1 September 17, 2017 Martina's Message Getting the Most Use of Your Interchangeable Needles and Accessories I love my IC sets and have a few different lines of them. I have also found myself buying extra tips because the size I need are always on a WIP. Did you know that you have so many other options already in your kit? Knitter s Pride has end caps, and some kits also have needle size markers and cord connectors. Addi kits have a cord connector and have add-on s, like the Heart Stopper. HiyaHiya have cord connectors and Panda caps. If you need your needle tips for something else, take the tips off and place a Knitter s Pride needle size marker on the cord and put on the caps/stopper. You can also use the cord connectors by placing one end on each of the ends of the cords, creating a circle. I also use this for my stitch holders; no more transferring live stitches onto a stitch holder or scrap piece of yarn again! If you know your project is going in the time-out bin, use these tools to eliminate broken needles and get them back into your case where they are safe! Visit our Website What About Those KAL's?

2 Behind The Scenes Cowl Molly will lead this Mystery KAL that begins on Thursday, October 5th from 1-2 pm. We'll meet to go over the new clue that will be released every Thursday around 9 am. We'll be using Hikoo's new yarn OH! It is a fabulous Alpaca Superwash, and we'll only need 2 skeins. So come in soon and select your colorway. Knit-N-Purl has them all! Baby Surprise Jacket with Arlene If you have not made the Baby Surprise Jacket and want to make the Adult Surprise Jacket, this will be your last chance before we knit the adult version. It is recommended that you make the baby jacket then the adult jacket. October 9-30 (Tuesdays from 2-4 PM) we will have our last KAL with the BJS before making the ASJ early in Building With Lace and With Molly

3 We have been working on Week 8 of our "Building With Lace" KAL, and we are all working at different rates but making progress and learning oh-so-much! Marianne is on Section #5 which uses beads. Bonnie is on Section #5 having just finished her bead-work. Carol has finished section #3 and ready for #4. Kathleen is on Section #4 and using KnitCompanion to keep track of her work. Knitted Knockers (Reminder) Don't forget that the first 2 Sunday's in October Ingrid will be giving free classes on knitting knockers using Magic Loop. You must know Magic Loop in order to participate in this class. Also remember that September 27, Ingrid is giving a class on Magic Loop. She also has a free gift for the first 15 participants who buy their yarn for the knitted knockers in Knit N Purl! Participants should buy their yarn and have it wound before the class starts

4 so we can start on time. You will need a size 4, 32" or 40" cable. Don't forget Grenache KAL in October!
