6 Quilt Body Assembly: 22. Sew four rows of three blocks, alternating and, so seams will nest. Press. 23. Sew the rows together. Press. 36-1/2" x 48-1/2" 6

7 Add the Borders: 24. Measure the length of the quilt through the center, cut two pieced Ms to that measurement (about 48-1/2"), and sew to the sides. Press. 25. Measure the width of the quilt, cut two Ms to that measurement (about 40-1/2"), and sew to the top and bottom. Press. 26. Measure the quilt across the width of the quilt. If the pieced border from Step 21 is a little too long, fold in half across the width and trim it to the measurement of the width (about 40-1/2"). Sew a K on each end. Press. Do not sew to quilt yet. 27. Measure the length of the quilt through the center. If the pieced border from Step 20 is a little too long, fold in half across the width and trim it to the measurement of the length (about 48-1/2"). Sew a Step 20 pieced border to each side. Press. 28. Sew a Step 26 pieced border to the top and bottom. Press. K M M 53-1/2" x 65-1/2" 7

8 Finish the Quilt: 28. Layer backing WS up, batting, and top WS down. Quilt. Bind with a 1/4" seam allowance. 8
