Read all pattern directions from beginning to end at least once. Create a fabric key to use as a reference through out the directions. If your are comfortable doing it, you may want to cut multiple layers to speed up the cutting process. All seams are sewn with the fabrics right sides together unless stated otherwise. Use remaining straight of grain binding to continue around the tree skirt Z (backing) - Snowflakes - White Cut 60" x 3". Join the two pieces along the 60" length using a " seam. Sew two White Snow 2½" x 0½" strips to opposite sides of a Frosty Panel block. As shown below. Press the seams away from the block. Trim the ends even with the block.

Trim the block to 2½" x 2½", keeping the motif in the center. Repeat for all 8 Frosty Panel blocks.

Measure the height of the smaller triangles from the point to the base and trim them to 3½". You will remove about 2". Repeat steps - 4 for all 8 Blue Frosty Toss 5½" x 2¾" rectangles R - Curly Scroll - Red Cut " x WOF; sub cut " x 6" & " x 25½" flange G - Curly Scroll - Shamrock Cut 2" x WOF ; sub cut 2" x 0" & 2" x 22½" border Y - Panel Fussy cut the large train block, pages 5 & 6, leaving a ¼" seam allowance outside of the image Z - Snowflakes - White Cut 2¼" x WOF ; sub cut 2¼" x ½" & 2¼" x 24½" border 2 5. Sew two White Snow 2½" x 0½" strips to opposite sides of a Frosty Panel block. As shown below. Press the seams away from the block. Trim the ends even with the block. Repeat for all 8 Frosty Panel blocks. 6. Sew two White Snow 2½" x 4" strips to the top & bottom of the Frosty Panel block. Press the seams away from the block. Trim the block to 2½" x 2½", keeping the motif in the center. Repeat for all 8 Frosty Panel blocks Y (binding) - Diagonal Stripe - Royal Cut 2½" x WOF; join strips using diagonal seams Z (backing) - Snowflakes - White 36" x 26" Tree Skirt Sewing Directions. Fold a Blue Frosty Toss 5½" x 2¾" rectangle in half widthwise. You should have a rectangle that is now 5½" x 6⅜". Check that all corners meet, flip and check from the other side also. Press lightly to form a soft crease. 2. Line up your rotary ruler diagonally on the rectangle and cut as shown. 7. Sew a large triangle to the top of the block as shown. Press the seam away from the block. Repeat for all eight Frosty Panel blocks. 8. Sew two of the smaller triangles to the sides of the block. Press the seams towards the block. Lengthen your stich length to a basting length for later removal and stitch the rest of the way. 0.

Use the circle template to remove the center for the tree trunk.

Align the creases with four seams on the tree skirt as shown and pin in place.

4 9. Lay the wedges out as shown. 2. Join the two halves, use your normal stich length until the middle seam, the center of the tree skirt. Lengthen your stich length to a basting length for later removal and stitch the rest of the way. 0. Sew two wedges together to form a quarter wedge. Repeat to make four quarter wedges as shown. 3. Use the circle template to remove the center for the tree trunk. Cut the circle from the paper it was printed on and fold it into quarters. Align the creases with four seams on the tree skirt as shown and pin in place. Cut around the template to remove the center. Remove the basting stiches that go from the edge to the center.. Join two quarter wedges to form half of the tree skirt. Repeat with the other two quarters to form the other half of the tree skirt. 4. Layer the backing, batting and top together. 5. Use the Red Stripe binding strip to bind the tree skirt. 6. Use the extra binding length to make the ties.

Wall Hanging Directions. Sew the 2" x 0" green tonal border strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block.

Sew the 2" x 22½" green tonal border strips to the top & bottom of the panel block. Press the seams away from the panel block.

Sew the 2¼" x ½" White Snow border strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block. Press the seams away from the block. 4.

5 5. Use the Red Stripe binding strip to bind the tree skirt. 6. Use the extra binding length to make the ties. Fold the raw edges towards the center of the strip. Now fold the strip in half and stich close to the folded edges. Cut into six pieces at 0" each. Wall Hanging Directions. Sew the 2" x 0" green tonal border strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block. Press the seams away from the panel block. Trim the green border strips even with the panel block. 2. Sew the 2" x 22½" green tonal border strips to the top & bottom of the panel block. Press the seams away from the panel block. Trim the block to ½" x 2". 7. Sew one to either end of the open side and one in the middle as shown. Repeat for the opposite side. 3. Sew the 2¼" x ½" White Snow border strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block. Press the seams away from the block. 4. Sew the 2¼" x 24½" White Snow border strips to the top & bottom of the block. Press the seams away from the panel block. 5. To make the flanges, fold the Red Tonal strips in half, wrong sides together, widthwise. They should measure ½" wide. Press flat. quiltingtreasures.com quiltingtreasures All rights reserved Pg 5

6. Sew the Red flange strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block.

Sew the Red flange strips to the long sides of the rectangular panel block.

. Cut a rectangle from backing or other fabric the same width as your quilt x 2". 2. Hem each side by turning up the raw edge ½", press, and then turn each side up ½" again.

Sew the 3½" x 30½" Blue Frosty Toss border strips to the top & bottom of the block. Press the seams away from the panel block. 3. Mark a line ½" into the back of the quilt from the outside edge of the binding.

Use Knots, or small stitches at the beginning and end if the line of stitching. Use matching or invisible thread. 0. Layer the backing, batting and top together. Quilt as desired.

6 6. Sew the Red flange strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block. Lay the Red flange " x 6" strips on top of the White Snow Flake border, raw edges even and baste in place ⅛" from the raw edge. Trim even with the borders. 7. Sew the Red flange strips to the long sides of the rectangular panel block. Lay the Red flange " x 25½"strips on top of the White Snow Flake border, raw edges even and baste in place ⅛" from the raw edge. Trim even with the borders.. Cut a rectangle from backing or other fabric the same width as your quilt x 2". 2. Hem each side by turning up the raw edge ½", press, and then turn each side up ½" again. Top stitch this hem. ½" ½" 8. Sew the 3½" x 5" Blue Frosty Toss border strips to the short sides of the rectangular panel block. Press the seams away from the block. 9. Sew the 3½" x 30½" Blue Frosty Toss border strips to the top & bottom of the block. Press the seams away from the panel block. 3. Mark a line ½" into the back of the quilt from the outside edge of the binding. Center the sleeve and place the raw edge of the sleeve on the line and pin in place. 4. Turn the quilt over and on the front, "Ditchstitch" through the hanging sleeve. Use Knots, or small stitches at the beginning and end if the line of stitching. Use matching or invisible thread. 0. Layer the backing, batting and top together. Quilt as desired.. Use the Blue Stripe binding strip to bind the Wall hanging. 5. Create a small pleat in the sleeve at the binding, be careful that the sleeve doesn t extend past the edge of the binding. Pin the sleeve in place and hand sew into place across the bottom of the sleeve.
