3 Block Assembly: 1. Sew one 2 ½ x 11 ½ Fabric strip to each side of one 11 ½ Fabric A block. Sew one 2 ½ x 15 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A block. Trim the block to measure 14 ½ square to make one A block (Fig. 1). Repeat to make four A blocks total. Sew one side setting triangle to opposite sides of one B block to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Five Sew one side setting triangle, one B block, one A block, one B block and one side setting triangle together in that order to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four. Sew one B block, one A block, one enter Block, one A block and one B block together in that order to make Row Three. Sew the five rows together in numerical order to make the tree skirt top (Fig. 5). 2. Sew one 2 ½ x 11 ½ Fabric strip to each side of one 11 ½ Fabric B block. Sew one 2 ½ x 15 ½ Fabric strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric B block. Trim the block to measure 14 ½ square to make one B block (Fig. 2). Repeat to make eight B blocks total. Repeat to make eight side setting triangles total. Sew one 4 ½ x 6 ½ Fabric strip to each side of one 6 ½ Fabric F square. Sew one 4 ½ Fabric square to each end of one 4 ½ x 6 ½ Fabric strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric F square to make one enter Block (Fig. 4). Fig. 4 Fig. 3 F F make 8 9. Finishing: Fig. 5 Using the template provided, cut a hole in the center of the enter Block. ut a straight line from the hole in the enter Block to the outside of tree skirt (Fig. 6). Layer tree skirt top, batting and backing; baste, quilt as desired. Trim layers even with tree skirt top. Sew the nine 2 ½ x WOF Fabric H strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press.
