Use a 1/4 seam allowance unless otherwise noted. Width of abric = WO, Length of abric = LO utting Instructions: Note: This project is made using the O! Qube Mix & Match 6 Block Set (55775) and the O! Square 8 finished (55058) to cut some of the shapes. Border Stripe () ussy cut four 5 ½ x 40 strips center each on the same design. Love Birds (B) Use O! 8 finished square die and fussy cut one 8 ½ square centered on the Birds. Blue () ut three 5 x WO strips. Sub-cut into twenty-two 5 squares. Using o Qube Die #8 to die-cut forty 2 x 3 ½ rectangles from twenty 5 squares. Using o Qube Die #4 to die-cut eight quarter square triangles from two 5 squares. ut one 4 ½ x WO strips. Sub-cut into four 4 ½ squares. Using o Qube Die #1 to die-cut four 3 ½ squares. ut one 3 x WO strip. Sub-cut into four 3 x 5 ½ rectangles. Using o Qube Die #5 to die-cut sixteen small half-square triangles. Purple #1 (D) ut three 5 x 21 strips. Sub-cut into twelve 5 squares. Sew one 1 x 8 ½ abric strip to each side of the 8 ½ abric B square. Sew one 1 x 9 ½ abric strip to the top and bottom of the 8 ½ abric B square to make one Block One square (ig. 1). 4 2. Place one 2 abric D square on the right side of one 2 x 3 ½ abric rectangle, right sides together (ig. 2). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (ig. 2). lip open the triangle formed and press (ig. 3). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle leaving a ¼ seam allowance to make one D unit. Repeat to make eight D s. Sew one 1 ½ x 26 ½ abric strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top. enter one 5 ½ x 40 abric strip on one side of the quilt top. Start sewing the strip a ¼ from the top edge of the quilt top and stop a ¼ from the bottom edge. DO NOT TRIM TH XSS. Repeat with the opposite side. 22. 7 To miter each corner, fold the quilt top on a diagonal wrong side together. This should line up the strips from adjacent sides (ig. 21). Starting at the sewn seam (represented by the arrow in igure 21) draw a 45-degree line out to the edge of the fabric. Sew on the drawn line. Trim the excess fabric leaving a ¼ seam. Repeat this step with the remaining corners. Layer and quilt as desired.
