Cut two 2 x WOF strips into: four 2 x 15 ½ strips (-1) four 2 x 3 strips (-2) two 2 x 9 ¼ strips (-3) two 2 x 5 ¼ strips (-4) ten 2 squares (-5) and two 2 x 7 ¾ strips (-6) two 2 x 13 strips (-7) two 2 x 6 ¾ strips (-8) Cut one 2 ½ x WOF strip into: ten 2 ½ squares (-9) Cut seven 3 x WOF strips (label -BORDERS) Cut two 3 x WOF strips into: six 3 x 7 ½ strips (-10) Cut one 4 ½ x WOF strip into: twelve 3 x 4 ½ strips (-11) Cut two 3 x WOF strips into: twenty-four 3 squares (-12) Cut one 3 x WOF strip into: two 3 x 19 ½ strips (-13) Cut one 4 ¼ x WOF strip into: two 4 ¼ x 13 strips (-14) Cut one 9 x WOF strip into: two 4 ½ x 9 strips (-15) two 4 ½ squares (-16) two 4 ½ x 13 strips (-17) Cut two 7 x WOF strip into: two 7 x 10 ¾ strips (-18 two 7 x 11 ¼ strips (-19) Cut one 7 x WOF strip into: four 7 x 9 ¼ strips (-20) Cut one 7 x WOF strip into: two 7 x 13 strips (-21) Cut one 5 x WOF strip into: two 5 x 19 ½ strips (-22) Cut one 9 ¼ x WOF strip into: two 9 ¼ x 10 strips (-23) two 8 ¼ x 10 strips (-24) For binding, cut seven 2 ½ x WOF strips FBRIC B MSF8703-B Cut one 8 ½ x WOF strip into: two 5 ½ x 8 ½ strips two 3 x 8 ½ strips two 4 ½ x 8 ½ strips FBRIC C MSF8706-R Cut one 8 ½ x WOF strip into: two 5 ½ x 8 ½ strips two 3 x 8 ½ strips two 4 ½ x 8 ½ strips FBRIC D MSF8709-K Cut one 8 ½ x WOF strip into: two 5 ½ x 8 ½ strips two 3 x 8 ½ strips two 4 ½ x 8 ½ strips. FBRIC E MSF8702-B Fussy-cut six 6½ x 8½ strips, centering motifs as desired. FBRIC F MSF8708-B Cut one 4 ½ x WOF strip into: two 4 ½ x 7 ½ strips FBRIC G MSF8707-B Cut one 4 ½ x WOF strip into: two 4 ½ x 7 ½ strips (note: make sure stripes run parallel to short side of strip) FBRIC H MSF8707-J Cut one 4 ½ x WOF strip into two 4 ½ x 7 ½ strips (note: make sure stripes run parallel to short side of strip) FBRIC I MSF8709-B Cut one 3 ½ square one 2 x 13 strip one 2 x 7 ¾ strip one 2 x 7 strip one 2 square. FBRIC J MSF8709-R Cut one 3 ½ x WOF strip into eight 3 ½ squares. Cut one 10 x WOF strip into: two 2 x 10 strips two 2 x 6 ¾ strips four 2 x 3 strips two 2 x 6 strips two 2 x 4 ½ strips one 2 x 7 strip. FBRIC K MSF8709-KJ Cut one 3 ½ square one 2 x 13 strip one 2 x 7 ¾ strip one 2 x 7 strip one 2 square. FBRIC L MSF8700-B (backing) Cut two 60 x WOF strips. Sew together and trim to make one 60 x 83 back. Cutting page 2

MITTEN BLOCKS -------------------------- 1.

Sew across the diagonal of the of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. 2.

Flip open the triangles formed and press.

Repeat steps 1-3 using four -12 squares and two 5½

Place one -12 square on the right end of one 3 x 8½ fabric B strip, RST.

Flip open, press and trim excess behind triangle to make one B unit. Repeat to make a second B unit. 7.

Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner as shown.

Sew one -11 strip to each side of one 4½ x 7 ½ fabric F strip to make one F cuff. Repeat to make a second F cuff.

Repeat with four -11 strips and two 4½ x 7 ½ fabric H strips to make two H cuffs. Blue Mitten Unit 12.

3 MITTEN BLOCKS Place one -12 square on the top-left corner of one 5½ x 8½ fabric B strip, right sides together (RST). Sew across the diagonal of the of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner. 2. Place a second -12 square on the top-right corner of the fabric B strip, RST, and sew as shown. 3. Flip open the triangles formed and press. Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangles ¼ away from the sewn seams. Make Repeat steps 1-3 using four -12 squares and two 5½ x 8½ fabric C strips to make two C units. 5. Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner as shown. Flip open, press and trim excess behind triangle to make one C unit. Repeat to make a second C unit. 9. Sew one -11 strip to each side of one 4½ x 7 ½ fabric F strip to make one F cuff. Repeat to make a second F cuff. 10. Repeat step 9 with four -11 strips and two 4½ x 7 ½ fabric G strips to make two G cuffs. 11. Repeat with four -11 strips and two 4½ x 7 ½ fabric H strips to make two H cuffs. Blue Mitten Unit 12. Sew one 4½ x 8½ fabric B strip, one fabric E strip, one B unit, one B unit, one -1 strip and one -10 strip together. 13. Place one -12 square on the lower left corner of the unit, RST. Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the bottom right corner as shown. Flip open, press and trim excess behind triangle to make a Blue Mitten Unit. 26. Follow the quilt diagram for fabric and block placement for quilt top assembly. 27. Borders: Sew the seven -BORDERS strips together, end to end with diagonal seams to make one long strip.

Measure the width of the quilt top and cut two border strips to match this width. Sew to top and bottom of quilt top. Press seams toward borders. 29. Layer and quilt as desired. 30.
