8 MODEL GN60 GOOSENECK OUTDOOR BASKETBALL SYSTEM GN60 This unit uses a gooseneck design to extend the backboard 72" out from the post. The post shall be 5 9/16" O.D. schedule 40 (0.26 ) wall galvanized pipe. The mounting plate is used as a direct goal attachment for the backboard. Two braces extending from the upper mounting points of the backboard to the gooseneck extension provide added rigidity to the system. The system can be used with all outdoor front and rear mounts boards and goals. Post shall extend into the concrete footing at least 36. Concrete footing shall be 36 minimum in diameter and 48 minimum deep. Concrete for installation not included. Subject to design change and current manufacturing practices. 12 MODEL 240 PARK AND RECREATION FIXED SUPER GOAL The 240 goal shall be constructed with an official sized 18" double ring of 5/8" and ½ diameter steel with no-tie net attachment. A 6 ½ x 7 back plate shall accommodate most 42 and 48 rectangular and fan-shape backboards. Brace shall be 7/16" diameter all welded construction. Goal shall have a durable orange powder coated finish and come complete with nylon net and hardware. ACCESSORIES BACKBOARDS Compatible backboards are models 1301B, 1342B, 1370B, 1245T, 1270B, 1272B, 1401B, 1442B, and 1750B. See backboard section in specification manual. 14 MODEL 1260B 60" X 42" RECTANGULAR STEEL BACKBOARD WITH BORDER AND TARGET The 1260B backboard shall be formed from a single piece of heavy gauge steel and reinforced with a heavy gauge vertical center channel and heavy gauge horizontal channels. All reinforcing sections shall be welded to the shell to make a single vibration free unit. Manufacturer of backboard shall have over ten years experience producing such item. Key-slots in the horizontal channels shall be spaced at 20" vertical and 35" horizontal. Backboard shall be phosphate pre-treated and shall have a durable white powder coat finish to protect against weathering. Orange border and target shall be silk-screened on face of backboard for permanent markings. Goal mounting holes shall be on 5" horizontal and 5" vertical centers.
