1 Facebook Website TABLE OF CONTENTS Terrigal vs The Lakes at Home this weekend TERRIGAL VS THE LAKES AT HOME THIS WEEKEND Last weekend Third Grade against The Entrance Boat race Womens Rugby Save the Date - Long Lunch with Paul Martell Friday 31 August This week The Lakes travel to The Haven to play the Trojans First Grade in what is the Match of the Day in Round 12. These two teams are separated by a single point on the competition table, making the match significant with so many teams looming behind. It should be a great game of rugby. Both teams know how to score tries and there should be plenty of them on display on Saturday. We need to be at our best to reestablish our fortress at The Haven. For such an important clash, Club support is a must, so get down to The Haven and cheer the Trojans to victory. The day starts with Women s playing Warnervale followed by Thirds against The Lakes and Seconds against Wambi Savers.

Sam McDonald - Trojan in need Around the Grounds Upcoming events - Golden Oldies, 1977/78 Trojan Reunion Club Sponsors - Julie's Place, Dynamic Demountables, Parsons Outdoor Equipment LAST WEEKEND THIRD GRADE AGAINST THE ENTRANCE A tough encounter was expected by the Gentlemen s 15 last week against The Rams and they weren t disappointed. The Rams had plenty of ball early on and ran our defence ragged scoring an unconverted try. However, we hit back with a great movement finished off by Matty Hoye and a terrific conversion from out wide by Conor (the Flying Irishman). We led for most of the rest of the game 7-5 only to be pipped at the post by a Rams penalty goal giving them the win 8-7. We were best served by Conor, Burdo (against his old club) and Datey who played strongly. BOAT RACE As always, The Rams were great hosts but not great enough to let us win the boat race. Jim (one of the English boys), Diebs and Datey gave it their all but just couldn t see the bottom of the last schooner before The Entrance boys. Better get some training in fellas!

8 SAM MCDONALD - TROJAN IN NEED This is Sam, brother of another Trojan star, Will McDonald. Whilst playing for the Central Coast U16 Rugby Union Representative Team, Sam suffered a serious injury to his right leg during the NSW U16 Rugby Union State Championships over the June long weekend. This injury resulted in Sam remaining in hospital and undergo a number operations over a two week period to pin and brace his leg. During his initial recovery, he will not be able to put any weight on his injured leg for approximately two months. When he is able to weight-bear, he will need a substantial amount of physiotherapy to regain full strength and mobility of his injured leg over the subsequent months.
