We had 38 club members and guests attend. It was a very nice dinner with lots of friends. I want to thank everyone that attendedand hope you enjoyed it. Just want to remind everyone that it is time to renew your club membership and also your AMA membership. The program for this month will be done by Rudy on building. 2 March 2017 Volume 24 Issue 3 MEETING MINUTES Page 2 by Murry Randell, Secretary February 20th, 2017 Meeting The February 20th, 2017 meeting of the Blue Max RC Flying Club was called to order at 7:00 pm by Vice President Howard Bifeld Welcome Guests Welcome New Members Around The Hangar President s Report Vice President Howard Bifeld: meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance. Secretary Report Murry Randell: The minutes were accepted as published in the newsletter. Treasurer Report Jim Kaufman: stated club numbers Newsletter Report Bob Breckler: we are still looking for a Photographer, for those building and that have sent pictures, thank you Webmaster Report Doug Bradbury: No Report. Committee Reports: Winter Banquet OPEN A good time was had by all at the dinner, photos are attached, Thanks Steve and Howard Field Marshal Jim Kaufman: Fun Fly Steve Gelman: Steve state that we are on track for a May start time frame. Noise Shlomo Rimer: All Quiet, please make some noise Picnic Carl Will/Bob Breckler: No new news Proficiency Duane Lang: No advancements Program OPEN: Steve Gelman will discuss his 20 size SIG Four Star build. Don Linder will call his contact at MPI to see if they can come out, the Gas Club had them do a program previously Safety Don Linder: Remember to a range check prior to flying also make sure that when your binding the receiver that all of your controls should be in FAIL SAFE settings, not FAIL DANGEROUS (throttle set at high), this is really critical for electric planes.

3 March 2017 Volume 24 Issue 3 Page 3 Old Business None New Business Don Linder has agreed to run the fuel purchase program for 2017, please see page 14 for the order form, The fuel needs to be purchased by the case, see if you can find someone to split a case with you if needed. Thanks Don Don is also going to call Ron at MPI to come to one of our meetings for a Show & Tell Crash Reports No Crashes. FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS We are collecting non-perishable foods for a local food pantry. The food pantry we are donating to is Our Lady of Ransom/St Vincent de Paul. Please bring your donations to our monthly meetings. Thanks to Carl Will for delivering the Food to the Pantry. Larry Olsen Sent in a picture of winter project, his Sig Something Extra. Or he really is crazy, the last one makes it s maiden and before it lands, there s another one on the drawing board. Mike sends pictures of his newest acqusition, a Top Flight Giant Scale P51, 86 wingspan, will be running a DLE 55 RA with Robart Electric Retracts main and tailwheel full cockpit and Pilot.
