4 Gingko Minutes, April 2018 The meeting was called to order at 7:07pm. Tom Prang did the program on the Tucson Rock and Gem Show and Quartzsite Show. It was a very interesting program. For show and tell, Carol Keogh had a table full of different kinds of rock slabs. The Business meeting was called to order and the minutes were read and the treasurer s report was read. Refreshments were from Kim Fulkerson and Melisha Moxey and it was a nice spread. The door prize was won by Maizy Pettijohn and the raffle was won by Lewis Reynolds. Trip report is Yakima Rock Show at the end of April and then on May 19 a trip to Vantage Rock Shop and Museum. New Business for Chelan County Fair, Carol was talking about giving away hand painted rocks to children plus the normal polished rocks we give away to everyone. The Meeting was adjourned at 8:38pm. Bob Spurrier, Secretary Ginkgo Treasurer s Report April, 2018 Savings Account Int. $ 1.61 $ 12, Checking Account Beginning Balance $ deposits: Membership, raffle, etc checks written: shop rent, newsletter Meeting supplies & newsletter software Ending Balance $ Several of our members had booths at the NCWP Gold Show on April 14 & 15. Hopefully, all were able to sell some of their items and enjoy the show. Those members with booths were: Carol Smith, jewelry and misc. items; Darrell Smith, bird houses; Tom Prang and Julia Pinnix, a large variety of hand work; Coy McGaha with his pain relief cream; and Carol Keogh, jewelry. The Ginkgo club booth, manned by David, Marcia & Carol handed out tumbled rocks and signed up several new memberships. The experience was fun, along with visiting with interesting people and the pot luck was good and plentiful. I enjoyed metal detecting for coins planted by the NCWP club. Many of our Ginkgo members are also NCWP members and they helped volunteer all week end. Also, several members went to the Yakima Rock Show on Saturday, April 28. They included Carol, Pat, Pam, Bob Witt, Doug O Bryan, Marcia and David. Tom & Julia had a nice booth at the show. David Earhart, Treasurer

If you can help them please call Marge at A note from Aris Frederick I was in Ellensburg the other day and went to the Kittitas County Historical Museum. They have a display called The Rollinger Collection which is a large collection of petrified wood, agates and arrowheads. The display is in a room by itself and that was the first time I have seen it. It is very impressive. It occurred to me that some of our members may not know of this collection and would be interested in seeing it. The Museum is on third street in Ellensburg. The admission is free. If you are in Ellensburg, a visit to see this collection is worth a stop.
