2 Welcome from Ipswich School W elcome to Ipswich School Sports Centre at Rushmere (ISSC). We are delighted to host the IAPS U13 Girls Hockey Regional Tournament. The hosting of this event falls very much into our community remit and we hope you enjoy today s event and all Ipswich School Sports Centre has to offer. In 2015 we opened Ipswich School Sports Centre at Rushmere (ISSC), a multi-million pound training venue offering first class sports and events facilities. We would like to thank all our staff who have helped to put on this event and we hope you enjoy it. Refreshments will be available throughout the afternoon. Situated just 10 minutes outside Ipswich and close to Woodbridge and Felixstowe it has hosted tournaments for Suffolk Netball, Elena Baltacha Academy of Tennis and has been a Junior Regional Performance Centre for Hockey. IAPS has consulted England Hockey to ensure that all age groups are playing within the recommended guidance. U11 children should play no more than 90 mins of Hockey per day.

3 Welcome from IAPS The IAPS sports programme saw 23,500 children participate in 110 events across 26 different sports. The programme will see 131 events organised, from team sports such as hockey, netball, football and rugby, to individual sports including triathlon, skiing, clay pigeon shooting, judo and fencing. There really is something for everyone. Welcome to this IAPS U12 National Finals competition. To ensure consistency across all qualifying rounds this year, IAPS has done the draw and timings for each qualifier, instead of the organisers. IAPS has consulted England Hockey to ensure that all age groups are playing within the recommended guidance. U11 children should play no more than 90 mins of Hockey per day. This has been abided to when creating the draws. Whether this is your first time at an IAPS event or you have entered for many years, we hope your team enjoys the tournament. IAPS passionately believes in the importance of sport as part of an all-round education for its pupils. First and foremost, sport is about participation and enjoyment. Good Luck! 4 Pool matches We are looking forward to hosting the IAPS Under 12 Girls tournament at Ipswich School s Sports Centre at Rushmere. Registration will open at 9.30am and the first games start at 10am. Please can all teams bring two sets of kits in case there is a clash in colours. Schools will need to bring an umpire. Order of Play Pool Matches pool matches will be 10 minutes one way. Please can you shake hands off the pitch to ensure matches start on time. Umpires a qualified umpire from your school should umpire the match after the game your school plays, on the same pitch. For the first round of the knockout matches you will be expected to provide an umpire at the same time that your school is playing, but for a different match.
