3 IAPS U11 and U13 Boys Hockey IAPS sports programme saw 23,500 children participate in 110 events across 26 different sports. The programme will see 131 events organised. From team sports including Hockey, Netball, Football and Rugby, to individual sports including Triathlon, Skiing, Clay Pigeon Shooting, Judo and Fencing, there really is something for everyone. Welcome to an IAPS hockey qualifier. Our competitions are growing every year. This year there will be 7 qualifying rounds in the U11 competition and 6 qualifying rounds in the U13 competition. After consultation with England Hockey and to ensure consistency across the country, IAPS has created the draws this year for each qualifying round. England Hockey recommend that U11 children should not play more than 90 mins of hockey per day and U13 children should not play more than 105 mins of hockey per day. This has been reflected in the draws. Whether this is your first time at an IAPS event or you have entered for many years, we hope your team enjoys the tournament. IAPS passionately believes in the importance of sport as part of an all-round education for its pupils. First and foremost, sport is about participation and enjoyment. Good Luck! 4 Order of Play Pools This qualifier will consist of 2 pools of 7 teams and 2 pools of 8 teams. The top 2 teams in each pool will progress to cup. 6 Cup Competition The winners of the quarter finals will progress to the semi s and finals. All semi-finalists will qualify for the National Finals. The losers of the quarter finals must continue to play match 5 and 6 and then the 5 th /6 th play off as the top 6 teams are invited to the National Finals. In the event of a tie on points the following will decide final placings: F. Goal difference G. The team having scored the most number of goals H. Result between the two teams I. A period of Golden Goal extra time up to a maximum of 5 minutes. B. A series of 3 penalty shuffles by each team C. If still tied then a sudden death penalty shuffles ELIGIBILITY ONLY Girls are permitted to enter IAPS Girls Hockey Tournament ONLY Boys are permitted to enter IAPS Boys Hockey Tournament Ages must be taken from 1 September 2017 Children may only play in one age group throughout the competition All children must attend an IAPS
