25 GYPROC EXAMPLE Allan has won the subcontract installing drywalls in a new public school.

26 He is quite aware of the fact that optimization equals profit.

27 He now wants to see where he can optimize the project well knowing that the architect probably has aimed too high with his initial wall specifications

28 The general contractor has handed over a BIM along with the shop drawings. A BIM Allan hasn t got neither the tools nor the skills to open.

29 What is he going to do? He turns to Gyproc and asks for help.

30 Gyproc receives the BIM and cleans it up so it is suitable for take-off. After cleaning up, Gyproc specialists assess the BIM and finds out where the designed wall specifications don t comply with regulations,where the owner could profit from alternative solutions and where Allan and Gyproc has the opportunity for upselling.

31 Gyproc uses a configurator to itemize the generic walls into individual building components and the quantities are reloaded into the BIM.
