If not what shall it include in addition? 14 Other comments/suggestions not covered by the above questions 15 Insight report A push for Projects of Common Interest This report answers questions like: Why Europe needs an infrastructure push even with more local generation, storage and demand response? Is Europe regulation on infrastructure delivering its promise? What could be done differently to ease the building of priority projects? Insight report A push for Projects of Common Interest can be accessed here < projects/> development/tyndp 2016 public consultation/consultation/print_survey 6/15
7 Insight report Baltic Synchronization The report looks into: How to integrate further the Baltic countries in the European power system? What about the desynchronisation with the Russian power system? What infratsructure solutions for a secure and competitive Baltic power system? The full report can be accesed here. < reports/baltic synchronisation/> Insigh Report Data and expertise as key ingredients The TYNDP is an open process. This report will give you the list of data sources and tools used by the ENTSO E experts to make the TYNDP and what you can freely access to support your own research. Together with current technologies, innovative technologies will be incorporated with the existing infrastructure. These technologies have their own learning curves and innovation cycles. Project promotors, regulators and policy makers need to understand something of each technology and their availability by the time of project development. The full report can be accessed here. < reports/technology/> development/tyndp 2016 public consultation/consultation/print_survey 11/15
12 37 38 Insight report The link between system adequacy and the TYNDP The report into answering questions like: Are there risk to Europe's pan European adequacy in the next five to ten years? Why is it important to assess adequacy the possibility for a system to meet demand in all conditions at a pan European scale? What methodology is ENTSO E using and does it cater for the rapid change in Europe's generation mix? The full report can be accessed here. < reports/system ad/> Insight report Viability of the energy mix The energy mix has been and is facing significant changes accross Europe, with a signficant increase of production of electricity from renewable sources. While it lead to significant reduction of CO2 emissions of the power sector, it creates some additional challenges both from the technical and economic point of view that are being described further in this Insight Report. The full report can be accessed here. < reports/energy mix/> development/tyndp 2016 public consultation/consultation/print_survey 12/15
13 41 42 TYNDP 2018 questions With each cycle ENTSO E, based on your input and its internal learning, is constantly improving the TYNDP processes, methodologies, outcomes and overall stakeholder interaction. 14 43 Imagine for a moment that you are the Gepetto of the European TYNDP 2018, you create it from the beginning and drive through your planning exercise. How would your TYNDP look like in terms of structure? How would your TYNDP look like in terms of content? How would your TYNDP look like in terms of results presentation? What new technologies and developments with regard to system planning do you consider relevant for the future? How would your European TYNDP be used and for what? development/tyndp 2016 public consultation/consultation/print_survey 14/15
15 How and when the stakeholders would be involved in the process? How would you promote and to whom the final outcomes? 44 development/tyndp 2016 public consultation/consultation/print_survey 15/15
