2 No calories will be burned! Get ready for a paper crafting workout with Tricia. Although you won t burn any extra calories, you ll be having such a good time that it won t matter. This episode is filled with so many different techniques you ll want to watch it over and over again so you don t miss any of them. These techniques are so much fun you ll want several pieces cut and ready to go for each technique. To prep the spinning machine place a small amount of Mount It Adhesive from Club Scrap in the center of the Spinning Machine. When it is tacky to the touch you can press the center of the papers and Craft Plastic to keep it in place while spinning. The spinning machine that Tricia uses in this episode is available at toy stores. There are several different brands to choose from. If you can t find a spinning machine in your area, go online and look up make your own spinning art machine for some crafty ideas TVWeekly.com, Inc.

3 MicroGlaze and Stencils Trim a sheet of Glossy Photo Paper into 4 x 4 pieces. Working with one piece at a time, lay the Swirl Stencil from Club Scrap on the Glossy Photo Paper. Hold it in place with one hand as you spread a very thin layer of Micro Glaze from JudiKins in the openings of the CS Stencil. NOTE: A little Micro Glaze goes a long way. Carefully lift the stencil from the Glossy Photo Paper and set aside. 2 Press the Photo Paper piece to the center of the spinning machine (prepared ahead of time per the NOTE above). Turn the spinning machine on and confidently squirt a spray of Orange Memories Mists on the spinning paper. Immediately squirt a second color (Vivid Yellow Memories Mists) over the first one. Squirt a third color if desired. Turn off the spinner to reveal your masterpiece. Carefully lift the Glossy Photo Paper off the spinning machine and set aside to dry. When it s dry remove any excess Micro Glaze with a soft cloth. You can now over stamp with Club Scrap permanent ink and rubber stamps Tricia chose a large dragonfly image from Club Scrap. 3 2

4 4 Repeat as many times as you want! Try a variety of Club Scrap Stencils and see which designs you like best! Grafix Craft Plastic with Alcohol Inks Trim an 8 x 8 sheet of Clear Craft Plastic from Grafix into four equal 4 x 4 pieces. This can be done very efficiently with a guillotine-type paper trimmer. The Clear Craft Plastic sheets come with a blue protective liner on each side. Remove one of the protective liners (you will add ink to this side) and place the 4 x 4 Clear Craft Plastic in the center of the spinning machine. You don t need to add more adhesive, the Mount It Adhesive will last through several applications. 2 Turn the spinning machine on. Choose 3 colors of alcohol inks and remove the lids. With the machine spinning squirt a couple of drops of the first alcohol ink onto the Clear Craft Plastic. Repeat with the second and third colors of alcohol ink. 3

5 Turn the spinning machine off. Carefully lift the colorful Craft Plastic off the machine. The alcohol inks should dry almost instantly. 3 4 Trim a sheet of Blank Sticker Stock from Club Scrap into pieces just larger than 4 x 4. Peel the paper backing from one of the trimmed pieces and place over the alcohol inked Craft Plastic piece. Burnish with fingers for a good bond. Turn the piece over and place on a cutting mat. Trim the excess blank sticker stock from the edges. Carefully peel the remaining blue liner from the Craft Plastic to reveal this masterpiece. 5 4

6 6 You can stamp on this side of the Craft Plastic with permanent ink. Manila Tag and Memories Mists Place a large Manila Tag from Club Scrap in the spinner machine, pressing in the center to secure to the Mount-It temporary Adhesive from Club Scrap. 2 Decide on color of Memories Mist you want to use and shake well to blend. Turn the spinner machine on and spritz a puddle of water into your hand. 5

7 This step must be done quickly for best results. With the spinner maching spinning quickly splash the water from your cupped hand onto the Manila Tag and IMMEDIATELY spray the Manila Tag with Memories Mist. 3 4 Turn the spinner machine off and remove the Manila Tag. Set aside to dry. As the Manila Tag dries the pattern of the water resist will become more prominent. Stamp and embellish as desired. 5 6

8 Semi-Gloss Paper and Dye-Based Re-inkers Trim a 2 x 2 sheet of Semi-Gloss Paper from Club Scrap into 4 x 4 pieces to get the same results as Tricia did in this episode be sure to use Club Scrap s Semi-Gloss Paper. Experiment with other types of paper, but be aware you might get different results, not bad results just different. Position one trimmed piece in the spinner machine, pressing in the center to secure to the Mount-It Adhesive. Turn spinner machine on and spray once with water this will act as the resist for this technique. IMMEDIATELY add a drop or two of dye-based ink from a re-inker to the spinning card. Add up to two more colors of dye-based ink from re-inkers to the spinning card. 2 3 Spritz once more with water before turning the spinner machine off. When dry, stamp with Club Scrap permanent black ink and your image of choice. 7

9 The Leftovers Don t throw away any of your pieces. Even if you don t like the way they turn out directly from the spinner machine, let them dry. Try cutting them up and over-stamping them with permanent ink. You might be surprised with the masterpieces you ll turn out!
