2 What s happening from Tuesday 3 January 2017? Shenfield area works Network Rail is carrying out Crossrail construction work to improve capacity in the Shenfield area. This is to make way for new, longer trains from May 2017, and new Elizabeth line services from December The work involves building a new platform and remodelling a major junction. Ongoing station works Transport for London is carrying out improvement works including: New entrances to the main ticket hall and platform 4 New ticket gates, ticket machines and accessible ticket office windows Improved decoration, lighting and customer information Network Rail is also building longer platforms to make way for the new trains.

3 How will this affect your journey? A frequent rail replacement bus service will run between and Shenfield stations. The journey time will be about 6-10 minutes off-peak and minutes during peak times. Valid tickets will also be accepted on local bus route 81 between and Shenfield stations (via High Street) for connections with Greater Anglia services at Shenfield. On weekdays, The 04:44 train from Shenfield to and the 01:32 train from to Shenfield will continue to run. A slightly reduced peak service will run between Gidea Park and : The 07:54 from Shenfield to Liverpool Street will start from Gidea Park at 08:08 The 18:37, 18:57 and 19:22 trains from Liverpool Street to Shenfield will terminate at Gidea Park All trains will depart from and arrive at platform 4 at station. For step-free access please use the entrance to platform 4 on The Parade. More than 400 car parking spaces are available at station. For more information, visit ncp.co.uk. Shenfield car park is extremely busy, please use rail replacement buses to Shenfield instead.
