Stewart lost his battle with Parkinson's Disease on Sunday. He was one of the few people in Queensland with PSQF after his name. To be elected a Fellow of the Photographic Society of Queensland is an incredible honour. I (and everyone who knew him) will deeply miss his friendship, knowledge and advice. Images must be a standard size (similar to Mackay Show) and mounted on mat board. Images will be due at the beginning of June. 3 P a g e

4 NQ Inter Club Competition due in April Monochrome and Black & White Limit is ten images per section from each club, with just one entry per section, per person. We will need at least ten people to submit images, preferably more, so please start thinking about what you would like to enter. All entries will be digital only. Individual entry A Grade and non-a Grade Print and digital entries Entries close 24 th March 2017 A maximum of four images can be entered in each Print or DPI section An image can only be entered in one section Previous SEQ entries are ineligible Subjects OPEN - colour OPEN - mono PEOPLE colour or mono NATURE colour SOCIAL DOCUMENTARY mono Max print size (including mount) 400mm x 500mm or 16 x 20 DPI colour space srgb jpeg maximum size 1440 pixels wide, 1080 pixels high Image name format: XYZtitle o X = A for A-grade entries and B for Non-A-grade entries o Y = Letter for category according to above table o Z = number of dpi/print entered for that section (1, 2, 3, or 4) title = image name (Example an A-grader enters a dpi named Sydney Opera as the first of four images in Mono Open: AF1Sydney Opera). Following discussion at the March meeting, the club overwhelmingly voted to continue with print images only for the monthly judging competition, with the three judging grades are to be known as Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. 2. Discussion continues on the merits of limiting print size of large sections to A4 size (max 8 x12 ) Print size considerations: A4 size A3 size cheaper can be printed on home printers level playing field for all entries enough room on the judging tables is an issue more impact suits unusual proportion prints Please bring your thoughts to the next meeting on 6 th April.
