I love fall fabrics with all its warm and rich colors and of course my favorite time of the year is almost here. store will have lots of pumpkins pumpkin table runners, pumpkins candle mats, pumpkin wall hangings and pumpkin fabrics. I almost forgot, my favorite dessert, pumpkin pie with lots of whip cream (at home, not the store). Am I putting you in the mood for the coming season? We have new classes, new machines, and special events planned for the next four months. Did you see the new fabrics by Kokka or Melody Miller s retro looking fabrics? I am happy to say the linen and silks are becoming part of your fabric choices. I am always looking for new ideas and new fabrics we can play with and it will continue when I see you are willing to try different fabics too. Our Christmas fabrics have started to arrive and the staff has worked hard with new holiday quilts and projects. Fall and Halloween fabrics and projects are now on display and I just love them. new embroidery designs for those of you with an embroidery machine are going to like the new unique 3D designs by OESD. Holiday Collection by OESD is starting in September and will continue through November. NEW 7-series will soon be at our store along with the DesignWorks Software. We ll have a 7-series Sit and Sew Event after the machines arrive. We are also planning a 5-series, please call the Sewing Room if you are interested in attending. Sit and Sew Event gives you an opportunity to sew on the sewing machine, make and complete a project, eat and have fun. You do have to reserve your spot so we can have a fabric kit for you. Watch for and the 830 Sit & Sew. Everyone had so much fun last year, we are going to again do the Twelve Days of Christmas starting on Saturday, December 1,. Judy Hahner, a BERNINA educator, will be demonstrating the BERNINA QuiltMotion and the BERNINA Creative Touch on Wednesday, October 17,. Here is your opportunity to try the BERNINA quilt frame plus the optional software. We are having a morning and evening presentation, again you must sign up. re is no fee. Linda Lee will be returning to the Sewing Room on November 16 and 17,. You won t want to miss this special event. Linda will have her Trunk Show on Friday, November 16 and on Saturday, November 17, will be a hands-on class working with knits. If you haven t tried her patterns, now is your chance, the trunk show is your opportunity. Her patterns are so very flattering on all body types, but you need to see for yourself.
