I studied for 11 years at the Alexander von Humboldt German School in Mexico, at the end of which I passed the university entrance exams. I studied automotive engineering in Germany for four years. During the next 15 years I worked as an independent businessman, representing Volkswagen in Mexico. I then became the main importer of BMW and Porsche cars and motorcycles, working on my own behalf, for 12 years. For the next nine years I was a director of the company, TÜV Reinland, in Mexico. Since then I have been a director of QS Mexiko AG, a company which provides ISO 9000 and ISO certification for quality and environmental management systems, respectively. QS Mexiko AG is an independent company that represents QS Schaffhausen and QS International, which have their headquarters in Switzerland. In addition I have also organised the 1 st August celebrations for 14 years.

Grew up speaking French and German, which are my mother tongues. I also speak fluent English and Spanish. I am married and have a son. Graduate of the Neuchâtel Business School (École de comerce en Neuchâtel) and, a few years later, of the Lausanne School of Hospitality Management (École hôtelière de Lausanne). I worked in several five-star and luxury hotels in Switzerland, Belgium and Mexico, gaining professional experience, including Mövenpick Hotels Zürich, where I was assistant manager. After working at various establishments such as Hotel Meson del Angel, Hotel Oro Verde, CEM Hotels Puebla and Puerta Vallarta, Royal Windsor Hotel, Brussels, Belgium and, finally, at Hotel Misani, St. Moritz, Switzerland as manager, I decided to open the Moser Café Kultur in Querétaro, which I currently own and manage. Date of birth: 1954 Living in Mexico since: 1954 Profession: Economist Interests: Professional: Economics, Politics, International Relations Personal: music, cinema, literature, sport Member of the executive board of the Swiss Relief Society (Sociedad Suiza de Socorros) Member of the executive board of the Swiss Association in Mexico (Asociación Suiza de México) Member of the executive board of the Swiss-Mexican Chamber of Commerce (Asociación Empresarial Mexicano Suiza) I graduated in Economics from Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology (Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México -ITAM-) and was subsequently awarded a Masters' degree and PhD in Economics from Columbia University in New York. I am currently adviser to the President of CONSAR (the Mexican pension funds regulator), having previously spent four years as General Coordinator of Strategic Planning in the same commission. Previously, during my long 30-year career at the Bank of Mexico (the country's central bank), I held several posts, most notably as Director of External Affairs and Coordinator of the Governor's Office, Macro-financial Analysis Manager and International Economics Assistant Manager. I also worked as an economist at the IMF in Washington. I am a member of the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI) and of three technical committees at the Mexican Institute of Financial Executives (IMEF). I have written many articles and five books on international trade and finance, monetary macroeconomics, central banking and the pension system. I have also taught in a number of Mexican universities. I am a regular speaker at conferences and seminars.

I graduated from the Basel School of Business in Switzerland and continued my studies at the American Institute of Banking in New York. I have 48 years' professional experience in senior management positions in international, merchant, commercial and investment banking (Swiss Bank Corporation, Banque Worms & Cie) in Switzerland, New York, London and Mexico. In 1987, I became an independent financial adviser, specialising in the areas of buy-back and restructuring of debt and companies, and corporate and industrial banking, being a founding partner of the Basilisk Group. During my almost 40 years in Mexico, I have taken a proactive role within the country's Swiss community, having served on the executive boards of the Swiss-Mexican Chamber of Commerce, the Swiss Association in Mexico and the Swiss College of Mexico, all of which I remain a member of, as I am also of the 60-plus Group. Since 2013, in my role as delegate to the I have represented the interests of our fellow Swiss citizens in Mexico, through the Organisation of the Swiss Abroad (OSA).
