Karol Achimský was a chairman of Postal Regulatory Office (NRA) in Slovakia from 2003 to 2006 where he guaranteed all activities in regulation on the postal market like permission of postal activities, regulation of the operating of the public postal network, activities in the field of prices and financing of the universal service, state supervision over the provision of the postal services and international relations. Previously worked for many years on the Faculty of Operation and Economics of Transport, Post and Telecommunications and from 1996 to 2002 served as Dean of faculty. He was born in Slovakia, was educated in Bratislava and Žilina, and has qualifications in Science, Technology and in Economics from the University of Bratislava and University of Žilina. He made several internships and working visits abroad (France,Tunisia, Canada ).

He joined the Belgian Post in 1995 as Director Logistics and Purchasing. In this function, he restructured the purchasing methods and procedures, improved the response to internal customer needs, and build and delivered three industrial sorting centres. After 2 years, he became Director Mail ( persons, 600 distribution centres, 5 industrial sites). He lead the development of a fundamental restructuration plan aiming at improving the operational performances and at decreasing costs through automation, re-engineering of the work processes, redesign of the network, redefinition of the equipments, deployment of measurement tools and implementation of appropriate management systems. In 2000, Bernard was appointed Director Regulatory, Public & International Affairs, a function wherein he negotiated the Management Contract with the Belgian Government. In 2002, he became Member of the Executive Committee, in charge of Regulatory, Public & International Affairs, Legal, External Communication, Purchasing and Facility Management. He currently is Director Strategic & Regulatory Affairs in charge of negotiating the regulatory environment of the company. Prior to joining PostEurop in 2009, Botond served in the Management Board of PostEurop with the responsibility of chairing the European Affairs Committee of the Association. Botond has also lead various initiatives including the Universal Postal Union s Financial Committee and participated directly in the preparation of the new EU postal directive as postal expert of EU s European Economic & Social Committee. Botond is also a regular speaker at international conferences and author of numerous publications. Besides Hungarian, he speaks fluent English, German, Romanian and good French. Between she was the person responsible for German-Hungarian education relations in the Training Centre of the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce, then from 1992 to the end of 1998 as the managing director of Human Investment Tanácsadó Kft. she controlled the human resources projects of numerous privatisation, reorganisation and liquidation programs; she has also managed the setting up of the human resources systems and training strategies of several significant Hungarian companies. She joined Magyar Posta in 1999, initially as the head of the project set up to ascertain the status of human resources at the company, in the scope of which she determined the changes and development directions necessary in order to set up the human resources organisation in a conscious and well-founded way. From 15 March 1999 she worked as the company s human resources development manager, and from 2002 she was appointed deputy CEO for human resources, then on 1 May 2007 she was appointed to the position of First Deputy CEO. Ms. Szűts controlled the areas of human resources and strategy. As First Deputy CEO her activities covered the control of human resources management and development, and of the company s external and internal communication and participation processes, and extend to the company s strategic processes and decision-making, it is also under her leadership that the company is preparing for market liberalisation. In May 2008 Ildikó Szűts was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Magyar Posta. She is an honorary senior lecturer of the University of Pécs and the College of Catering and Tourism, chairwoman of the National Human Resources Policy Association, a member of several professional and social organisations and, representing Magyar Posta, gives lectures for innumerable conferences and university courses.
