Drawing No. E403 Multimode Optics section specifies fiber optic splice cassette, 12 strand, 50 micron, OM3, 6 duplex LC connectors with part number CCH-CP12-E4. This part number is an adapter panel only with 12 LC ports that does not contain pigtails or chamber for splicing. Contractor s Question: Is actual pigtailed splice cassette modules requested, or is contractor to provide fiber pigtails and connect to the listed part number CCH-CP12-E4 using additional CJH splice housings mounted in each rack to contain the splice trays taking up more rack units? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Fiber optic splice cassette shall be part number OM3 CCH-CS12-E4-P00TE. 4. Drawing No. E403 Single-mode Optics section specifies fiber optic splice cassette, 12 strand, SM, 6 duplex LC connectors with part number CCH-CP12-A9. In reference to Delegated-Design Submittal Contractor s Question: Is seismic-restraints details to comply with performance requirements and design criteria, including analysis data signed and sealed by the qualified professional engineer responsible for their preparation required on this project? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Clarification of ; 1.5 B, C: Manufacturer s standard data for seismic-restraint shall be submitted to comply with performance requirements and design criteria. In reference to Delegated-Design Submittal Question: If required, can degree and detail be provided as what is actually required per section as this would be analysis actually performed on site and submitted for approval before physical installation would begin, possibly affecting the period of performance? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Refer to previous response. 7. Contractor s Question: Should contractor provide a ground bar in each rack to provide a grounding point for customer provided electronics? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Yes 8. Contractor s Question: Please clarify if STI FS100 fire-stop assemblies as listed on drawing E403 fire-stop detail are required for all 1-inch wall penetrations? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Yes. 9. In reference to Section , 1.8, A, 1, 2. and 3. Contractor s Question: Can clarification or detail be provided as what the extra material listed actually is: 1. Patch-Panel Units? 2. Connecting Blocks? 3. Device Plates? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Provide extra materials as specified. 10. Contractor s Question: Is plenum cable required in any buildings? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Plenum cable required in all buildings. Refer to Drawing E-403 Cat. 6 UTP shall be Syxtimax number 2071EOR423W1000 Orange. Fiber cable shall be as specified. 11. Contractor s Question: Is any cable removal required, as not listed in specifications or prints? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: No. 12. Contractor s Question: Please clarify is contractor will be responsible for installing any active equipment in racks? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: No. 13. Clarify manufacturers listed in Contract Documents. BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Manufacturers, subject to compliance with requirement, are not limited to the manufacturers listed. Manufacturers as listed are the basis of design. All materials shall comply with the performance requirements. 14. Drawing notes show a 3 x12 cable tray. Drawing E403 approved material list part number CF54/300EZ is for a 2 x12 cable tray? Which one is correct? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Cable tray shall be 2 x12 as specified in material appendix.

Are we to supply EZ33 s for the existing paths between floors in the electric rooms? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Provide fireproof seal for existing conduits. 23. If the General Contractor bidding this project is a 8(a) MDBE, responsible for overall project management including full time on-site Superintendent is requirement for DBE subcontractor participation of 10% still required? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Contractor should check the box on the non-authentication page that they are in fact the minority. 24. Drawing E300 Note 3 contractor shall provide 12 strand of multimode as specified. Is there supposed to be Multimode fiber? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Delete Note 3 from E3300.

RESPONSE: Provide single-mode. 26. Drawing EU100 The conduit path following the exterior of buildings 60, 61, 62, and 63. What is the specified size or fill ratio for this conduit? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: In accordance with BISCI Standards. 27. Drawing EU100 Single mode fiber from building 31, and 33 to building 60 attaches to the existing utility poles. Are the poles privately owned or is the contractor liable for pole attachment permitting. BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Privately owned. Is there specifications on distances from existing communications cables or any other cables? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Fiber cable maybe routed near existing communication cables. Maintain code require clearance from electric circuits and clearance above roadways. Based on above answers if there are any attachment requirements that cause make ready work who is liable for this? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Project contractor s responsibility. 28. Drawing E220 WP in room 107 does not show a path are core drills required? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Serve from Building 31, core drill wall between 31 and 30, Note 3 on E200 applies. 29. Drawing E220 WP in room 100 does not show a path are core drills required? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Serve from Building 31, core drill wall between 31 and 30, Note 3 on E200 applies. 30. Building 31, 33, & 60 what size core drill is required for the single-mode fiber to enter the buildings? BCCLT, Inc. RESPONSE: Size as required for cable. 31.
