10 TIE-IN PIECES for KING 2-1x4s or 62-1/2" 42-1/2" (can be any scrap wood or plywood) 64" 12-3/4" General Instructions: Please read through the entire plan and all comments before beginning this project. It is also advisable to review the Getting Started Section. Take all necessary precautions to build safely and smartly. Work on a clean level surface, free of imperfections or debris. Always use straight boards. Check for square after each step. Always predrill holes before attaching with screws. Use glue with finish nails for a stronger hold. Wipe excess glue off bare wood for stained projects, as dried glue will not take stain. Be safe, have fun, and ask for help if you need it. Good luck! Page 10 of 20

12 [29] Frame up the end bench with plywood and the 1x4 bottom pieces. Use 3/4" pocket holes and 1-1/4" pocket hole screws. Also drill pocket holes facing forward on the outsides of the sides and top (will be hidden later) for attaching the face frame in later steps. Step 2 Page 12 of 20

13 [30] Build face frame with 3/4" pocket holes and 1-1/4" pocket hole screws and glue. Attach finished face frame to front of cabinet through the pocket holes drilled in previous step. Also use 1-1/4" nails and glue to attach to bottom footer. Step 3 Page 13 of 20

14 [31] Attach 1x material to sides - these sides will be visible. Use 1-1/4" nails and wood glue. Step 4 Page 14 of 20

16 [33] Attach drawer faces to front of drawer boxes with 3/4" finish nails and glue. Step 6 Page 16 of 20

17 [34] Frame center "leg" and place in middle on assembly. Screw slats to center leg as well as side cleats. Finishing InstructionsPreparation Instructions: Fill all holes with wood filler and let dry. Apply additional coats of wood filler as needed. When wood filler is completely dry, sand the project in the direction of the wood grain with 120 grit sandpaper. Vacuum sanded project to remove sanding residue. Remove all sanding residue on work surfaces as well. Wipe project clean with damp cloth. It is always recommended to apply a test coat on a hidden area or scrap piece to ensure color evenness and adhesion.
