2 SCULPTURE GULLY 3D MODELLING AND ANIMATION EVENT LIVE EVENT PRELIMINARY ROUND Preliminary Make the 3D Model(s) in Blender, that will be provided to the team to animate in the finals round. Topic: The impact of social media on mass data security Finals Use the model submitted in the preliminary round to prepare an animation following a narrative, based on the given topic. Preliminary submission Details: Create a google drive folder with the name <School Name> Sculpture Gully Prelim and save the project and necessary resources in the folder. Share the folder with ecolosseum.dav4@gmail.com by 12 October Top 6 teams to qualify for the Finals, to be held on 25 October PLOT TWIST LIVE EVENT PRELIMINARY ROUND - COMIC STRIP EVENT Preliminary Make a comic strip of 3 minutes, using only available sprites in Scratch software (Version 1.4). Topic: Impact of Social Media on Society Finals Make a satirical comic strip using Scratch 1.4 on the topic given on the spot. Preliminary Create a google drive folder with the name <School Name> Plot Twist Prelim and save the project and necessary resources in the folder. 3 ANALOGUE ROBOTICS EVENT LIVE EVENT DESCRIPTION Finals Build a robot and demonstrate its functionality by completing a task as required by the problem statement. Topic: e-waste Segregation Problem Statement To build a robot that can carry out the task of picking the E-waste which can be recycled or can be refurbished and dropping them in their respective containers. Problem description: E waste stands for Electronic waste and includes items such as old TVs, computers, printers, phones, VCRs. If they are not disposed properly they cause pollution. Here we are using two ways of properly disposing them off: 1) Recycling 2) Refurbishing Robot information: The team will be tasked to develop a manually operated robot that can pick up the E- waste(props) and segregate them in two categories: 1. Which can be recycled: These will be green in color and has be picked and dropped in the container for recycled materials. 2. Which can be refurbished: These will be red in color and has be picked and dropped in the container for refurbished materials. Note: There must be two containers in the robot itself which can carry the props dropped by the robot in it. You must mention which container is for recycled material and which one will be for refurbished material. Robot To be assembled during Finals Day. The participants are required to carry materials and equipment for assembly and functioning of their robots. The exact dimension specifications of the arena will be revealed on finals day, and the participants must build their robots keeping in mind the specifications. Programming on the robots is prohibited for the event.
4 Arena Tasks: 1. Robot will begin from start area. 2. Robot will first go at position 1, will check the colour of the prop. If it is green then, put the prop in the container for recycled material. If it is red then, put the prop in the container for refurbished material. 3. Similarly, it will go one by one on each position from 1 to 6, will check the colour of the prop and place it in correct container. 4. After picking and dropping all the props at right place, robot must stop in stop area. Rules and regulations: 1. There will be a referee to whom every team must obey. 2. Duration of run will be 4 minutes. (Trail runs will not be allowed) 3. Any embedded kit can be used. 4. A power source of 7.5volts and 2200MAH current is allowed. 5. Participants can touch the robot when it is in start area and nowhere else. 6. If robot touches any boundary on arena, referee will keep robot in start area and robot must start again but time will not be reset. 2 such chances will be given. 7. No limitations on number of brains used per robot.
5 THE SCORCH TRIALS WEB DEVELOPMENT EVENT - LIVE EVENT PRELIMINARY ROUND Preliminary Prepare a plagiarism-free website by capturing the nature and the surroundings of the participants school to depict the World in which they live in. This competition is an enabler for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Participants must create a website keeping in mind the theme of the program social responsibility E-Waste Management using HTML, JAVA Script and CSS for coding. Participants are advised to abstain from using templates and copying code. Topic: e-waste Management Finals Prepare a website based on the topic and resources given on the spot. Preliminary Create a google drive folder with the name <School Name> The Scorch Trials Prelim and save the project and necessary resources in the folder. Share the folder with ecolosseum.dav6@gmail.com by 12 October Top 6 teams to qualify for the Finals, to be held on 25 October 2018 BUZZTALK ONLINE EVENT - TALK SHOW EVENT Create a talk show style monologue video depicting the participants school s advancements in achieving and educating its students on Protection against cyber bullying and other online malpractices. The participants may take inspiration from several TV talk show hosts and present a performance full of attention-grabbing and delightful moments. The video to be submitted must be maximum of 8 minutes and in.mp4 format. Any number of actors may be featured; however, the awards will be won by the two technical brains behind the performance. 6 PERSPECTIVE MUSIC VIDEO EVENT - ONLINE EVENT Create a Music video on the song Waiting for the End by Linkin Park. Link to Official Music Video by Linkin Park - The video is expected to follow a narrative progression, however other ideas are also welcome. The video length must be a maximum of 4 minutes and 30 seconds in length. Final Video to be submitted in.mp4 format. Upload.mp4 file on Google Drive under the name <School Name> Perspective Entry. ONLINE EVENT PRESENTATION EVENT Prepare a presentation using Microsoft PowerPoint on the following topic Cyber Security Need of the Hour The Presentation is advised to be at most 3 minutes in length. Narration in presentation by creators as a mode of explanation is necessary. Upload the presentation as a PowerPoint Show (.pps or.ppsx) on Google Drive under the name <School Name> PointOut Entry. 7 SYMPHX AUDIO MIXING EVENT ONLINE EVENT Produce a song from the multi-tracks provided to the participants. Link to multi-tracks to be released on 10 October 2018 in the Announcements section at The participants are not permitted to use any other audio clips apart from the ones provided. However, participants can alter the audio clips provided as per their requirement by adding effects and using their creativity. Final clip must be submitted in.mp3 format.
