1 Triangle Shaker Cards Tutorial December 2007 This easy technique was contributed and filmed by Technique Junkie designer Connie Babbert with the template compliments of our friends at Shaker cards are always fun -- but the triangle adds that extra zip! Supplies: - Ink pads - Markers (or coloring tools, as desired) - 2 Complementary Sheets of Colored Cardstock - White Cardstock - Clear Transparency Sheet - Stamps - Trimmer with Scoring AND Cutting Blades - Clear Micro Beads - Terrifically Tacky Tape (Double-sided, Redline Tape) - Foam Tape - Scissors - Triangle Shaker Template (click here)- compliments of Step One: Print templates onto cardstock or on copy paper (if printed on copy paper, trace onto cardstock). Step Two: Cut out templates Note: The sample above used blue for the outside card and white for the triangle inside. In addition to the cardstock triangle, trace the triangle onto a clear transparency sheet and cut out.

The triangle will be under the acetate and the beads; this is the focalpoint image. Step Five: Place a small piece of red-line tape on the back of one triangle flap. Step Six: Center stamped triangle face-down so the image appears through the window. Press flap with tape on the back of the stamped triangle to hold it in place. Step Seven: Turn over and make sure that the image is centered in the front within the triangle. Step Eight: Open flap and apply double-sided tape around triangle cutout on inside template. Remove red backing.

It does not take alot of beads since you will need room for the beads to move in the shaker. Step Twelve: Fold flap with attached triangle (image down) over the back, securing to sticky foam the triangle will not cover the foam at this point. Step Thirteen: Apply double-sided tape to the edges of the other flaps. Step Fourteen: Fold flaps to back and secure. The shaker portion of the card is complete.

4 Step Fifteen: To make card for shaker, fold one full sheet of cardstock in half. Step Sixteen: Trace around shaker triangle, Adding 1/4 around all edges. Make sure the folded edge is on the left side. Step Seventeen: Cut out on pencil lines on both sides to make card. Step Eighteen: Add double-sided tape to back of shaker.
