2 Step 1. This workshop will show you how to make this wrap perfectly sized to hold the freestanding 3D snow shaker card from a previous workshop or use the idea to create your own sized wrap for a project. The main products featured are the Sue Wilson festive collection ornate holly framed peace die and the Creative Expressions 8" x 8 twisted holly embossing folder. The Creative Expressions dazzler setting and 18mm clear dazzler make a perfect weighted feature to the finish the simple wrap closure off. Step 2. Place a sheet of the Foundations silver shine card in a landscape position on a score board ~ find the centre and place that on the 15cm mark (the card will be a 1.5mm either side of the 0cm and 30cm point) as the card is 297mm wide. Now score down at 13cms and 17cms. Step 3. Place the Sue Wilson festive collection ornate holly framed peace die onto a piece Foundations coconut card and secure in place with some low tack tape. Run the die through the Grand Calibur machine to cut and then emboss the die shape.

3 Step 4. Place the cut die shape onto a score board and score down the longer length and in the centre of the card. You will need to be careful when scoring the intricate edges of the die as they are more delicate. Step 5. Fold and crease the holly frame in half and gentle ease the side edges down. Step 6. This photo just shows that the landscape die shape will be wide enough for the project. You can use different dies for this technique but I wanted to go with the holly frame and the holly embossing folder.

4 Step 7. Lay the folded die shape on the scored card but this time have the silver card in a portrait position and mark the card so you leave a small silver edge both sides of the frame. Step 8. In this case the card is 13cms wide and I scored at 9cms to leave the remaining 13cms on the card. Step 9. Fold the card on one of the centre score lines so it makes the card small enough to fit into an A5 guillotine. Trim at the just scored line so you have the 13cm width remaining.

5 Step 10. Crease the base score lines and here you have the 2 main components for the wrap. Step 11. This is how the folded holly shape will go over the card piece. Step 12. Place the Creative Expressions 8" x 8 twisted holly embossing folder over just the front or back panel of the silver shine card so the depth of the wrap is left without any embossing.

6 Step 13. Place the folder and card onto the Spellbinders raspberry plate and then place the base plate over the top (or you can have the base plate on the bottom!!) I have got the embossing folder up to the edge of the plates so the excess card doesn`t get marked with the plates. Have the base plate equal to the base plate ~ this photo is just so you can see the sandwich used. Now run the prepared piece through the Grand Calibur. Step 14. Repeat the process on the other back panel so you are left with a plain base. Step 15. Here you can see the basic shape forming of the wrap with the snow globe in place and the holly piece folded over the top of the wrap.

7 Step 16. Add some Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue on the reverse of just one side of the holly frame, making sure you glue all the intricate detail on the die shape. Step 17. Stick the holly frame onto the back panel of the wrap and press the small detail pieces firmly onto the card. Step 18. Once the glue is dry fold the open flap over the front of the wrap silver embossed card.

8 Step 19. Select a Creative Expressions dazzler setting and an 18mm clear dazzler as they make a perfect weighted feature to the simple wrap flap. Step 20. Add a small amount of the Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue on the top reverse of the dazzler setting and add a small amount of glue on the solid flap area of the holly frame. It`s an idea to hold the setting over the card without the glue so you know where to situate the setting. Step 21. Press the glued dazzler setting onto the flap of the card and wiggle the dazzler slightly before holding the dazzler in place for 30 seconds.

9 Step 22. Use some 3d glue to add the clear 18mm dazzler in the centre of the dazzler setting. Step 23. Always make sure the folded edges of the wrap are burnished as this will help the holly flap piece to hold in place by the weight of the dazzler. Step 24. You may also want to add a few glue dots on the back of the dazzler setting so it aids with the closure of the flap.

10 Step 25. Place the 3D Freestanding snow globe in the centre of the plain base of the wrap. Step 26. Now fold the flap over to close the wrap up and hold the snow globe inside the wrap. Step 27. Here is a side view of the snow globe housed nicely inside the wrap.

11 Step 28. To help decorate the wrap further, cut and emboss an oval using the Sue Wilson festive collection ornate holly framed peace die 3 outer die cut dies on a piece of coconut card. Also cut the inner oval die using a piece of self adhesive sheet over a piece of white card. Step 29. Remove the backing and tip some of the Creative Expressions metallic silver micro beads over the sticky with the card in a plastic lid or container to catch the excess beads. Step 30. Cut the peace, the corners and the small holly using the swirls, peace and holly dies from the same peace set.

12 Step 31. Top Left. Add the oval frame to the wrap with the micro bead panel mounted on foam tape. Attach the swirls, peace and the small white bow to the wrap using CS glue. Step 32. Bottom Left Add 3 holly sprigs to the bow and finish with a pearl over the knot of the bow. This completes the snow globe wrap. Step 33. Top Right Here is the side view of the wrap project. Step 34. Bottom Right The peace makes a nice textured panel and sentiment to finish the project off nicely Happy Crafting x
