1 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 1 Arrow 4-page 4 Minibook Cut out the 2 pages. Fold on the dotted lines. Place the inside pages inside the front page. Staple at the folded edge. Front page Back page Inside left page Inside right page

2 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 2 Hexagon Petal Minibook Cut around the whole shape. Cut on the lines leading to the middle hexagon. Fold the outer hexagon pages over each other. Hexagonal Match Book Cut out as 1 piece. Fold like a matchbook. Write the heading/ title on the small flap and fill information in on the front flap and inside the booklet.

3 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 3 Envelope Cut out whole piece. Use a ruler and scissor to score along the dotted lines. Fold the base tab up. Fold the side tabs to the middle. Paste the side tabs to create an envelope. Insert cards below. 2. Fold side tab to middle 1. Fold base tab up. 3. Fold side tab to middle

4 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 4 Triarama This is a 3D minibook which can be stored flat. Cut out the square. Fold the opposite corners over and then re-open. Cut along the black line to the centre. Draw, cut out pictures or design the illustration for the background. This will stand up as a corner. Write information on the right hand bottom corner. Fold this over the left bottom corner. (Match the symbols) Secure with the corner circle fold (or sticky tacky). Paste only the back of left bottom fold to your notebook page or lapbook. Flap over to secure top triangle

5 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 5 10 Page Minibook Cut around whole template. Fold length wise on dotted lines. Then fold width wise along all the dotted lines. Cut along grey line. Fold together: page 2 in to 3 and so on. Glue the back of the pages together

6 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 6 Arrow row Flap Shutter fold Cut around the whole minibook. Fold along the dotted lines. Fold the arrow edge side over the straight edged side. Now cut along the horizontal lines to make flaps. Venn Diagram Flap Minibook Minibook Cut out the book. Fold in half lengthwise. Cut on dotted lines.

7 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 7 Pull Tab Minibooks Print on cardstock. Cut the slits on the dotted line of the FRONT piece. Insert the PULL TABs through the slits. When you glue down the book, make sure to glue only around the outermost edges and not in the centre. You want the slider to remain free to move up and down. If desired, have your student draw illustrations relating to the words on the fronts of the pull tabs. Larger Pull Tab Minibook Paste/ draw picture on the front page. Cut slit on dotted line. Only glue the side edges of the front page. Insert Pull Tab. Write the heading on the banner pull tab. Write information on the tab.

8 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 8 Rolled Inside Page Minibook Cut out top portion as one piece. Fold in half. Cut out long rectangle with the page folded. Cut out bottom portion as one piece. Fold. Cut on grey lines. Open out and then roll up bottom portion horizontally and insert the roll through the rectangle on the top portion. Open the page and close to form the booklet. 9 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 9 Collapsed Triangle Fold Cut on solid lines. Mountain-fold diagonally on dashed grey line with text to the outside and then unfold. Mountain fold diagonally on the other dashed grey line with text to the outside and then unfold. Valley-fold the vertical dotted line. On the inside write the information. Collapse the whole unit into triangle so that the title is on the cover. Glue on to notebook page. Cylinder Flap Minibook

10 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 10 Fact Wheel Cut out the front wheel with the arrow and space. Pin to numbered circle with brad in the centre. How to use this Fact Wheel: 1. Write your question on the outer numbered strip. 2. Write the answer to that question on the same numbered inside segment. 3. When the front wheel is pointing to the question on the outer rim of the bottom circle, the answer is revealed in the space. Great for revision! Tall Narrow Fold Scroll Flap

11 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 11 Pocket with strips Cut out pocket below as 1 piece. Fold on dotted lines and glue these to form a narrow pocket. Cut out the strips separately. Write your information on each strip.

12 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 12 Quilt Square Folded in Half alf Cut out book as one piece. Fold each triangle under. Fold book closed in half with cover on the front. On the outer flaps write questions. Answer the questions under the flaps. Concertina Diamond fold

13 Master Template Unusual Minibooks 13 Pop-Up Card Print book on cardstock. Mountain-fold the book in half on the dotted line. Cut along the 4 solid lines. Fold the bottom of each flap down in to the card on the grey dashed lines. Valley-fold the book in half, on the dotted line, so that the boxes pop in to the inside of the book. Cut out the small squares and paste or draw a picture on it. On the box marked glue glue the item you want to pop-up sitting level with the bottom row of dots.
