Hedgehog Design Topper Hedgehog Card Shaped Card Template, place the dashed line up to the fold, draw around and cut it out.
Hedgehog Card Print off the hedgehog template sheet and cut out the base card template. Fold a sheet of A4 card in half and then place the base card template on the card matching the dashed line up to the fold on your card. Draw around the shape then cut it out, keeping the card folded. You now have your shaped base card. Next cut out around the outside of the hedgehog design on your template sheet. Draw around this shape on to a separate piece of card and cut it out, this bit will be your card topper. Use the design template to decorate your hedgehog, you could use patterned papers or felt etc. When you re done stick your topper on to your base card matching up the straight bottom edge and there you have your finished hedgehog shaped card. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. 3 Tail, place on the back of the card. Head, apply so it overlaps the fold on your base card. Shaped Card Template, place the dashed line up to the fold, draw around and cut it out. Squirrel Card Hands His little hands are holding an acorn, place them on the body
Squirrel Card Print off the squirrel template sheet. Cut out the base card piece (his body) and then place it on to a sheet of folded card matching the dashed line on the template up to the fold on your card. Draw around the shape and then keeping the card folded cut it out to create your shaped base card. Next cut out head and this time draw around the shape on to a flat sheet of card, repeat for the hands and the tail. Decorate your pieces as you wish to, covering them with coloured card or felt or patterned paper etc. Add on the facial features copied from the template or using coloured in brads. Finally build up your card by sticking each of the pieces on to your base card, starting with the head which should cover the fold on your base card. Add on the hands so they re just under the head and then attach the tail to the back of your card. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. 5 Fancy Tree Card Cut the circles out of different patterns/ textures and assemble behind the fancy tree stump. You could be creative about how the tree is then applied to your card/project, what shape/size you choose etc.
Fancy Tree Card Print off the template sheet and cut out the swirly tree stump shape. Draw around it on to card or patterned paper and cut out the shape. To cut out the circles cut around the circle shapes roughly leaving a gap before the line and fold strips of patterned paper like a concertina. Place some repositionable glue or use a glue stick to temporarily stick each circle template on to the patterned paper. Keep the paper folded in the concertina and then cut out the circle template. Doing it this way gives you several circle shapes with one cut! Use a nail file or sandpaper to sand the edges if you want to smarten up the edges of the circles. Take a blank A5 size card or of you don t have a ready made one just fold a sheet of A4 card in half to create one. Cut out a piece of patterned paper for your background or create one using stamps, etc. If you want to create a rolled edge effect like I did on my card all you need to do is use a wet paint brush or baby wipe to dampen both sides of each edge then roll the paper and press it down to give the distressed edge effect. Stick your background piece on to your card. Now you need to build up your tree. Use the circles to make the tree shape, you can play around with the placing and see how the stump looks before sticking everything down. Once you re happy with your design stick it all down. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. 7 Large Card Size A5, large square Smaller Card Size DL, A6 Drum
Drum Card This card can be used for a few different cards I ve chosen to make the sample one a Christmas card but it could easily be used for different cards too maybe making it in militarily colours or just bright primary colours? Print off the drum template sheet. There are two sizes you can use the different card sizes they fit are marked on the template so first you need to decide which size card you want to make then when you have decided cut out the corresponding size template. Place the whole drum shape on a piece of card and draw around it then cut it out. Once you have made the whole shape you can then cut all the pieces apart on the template. Draw around them on to different coloured card or patterned paper and then cut each one out. Reassemble them onto your whole drum shape to make your embellishment. Do the same with the two drum sticks too. You can add a little more decoration to your embellishment if you wish to. When you are finished create a background on your card blank with stamps or patterned paper and finish your card by applying your drum embellishment. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. Crafty Templates or anyone associated or manufacturers mentioned in the instructions can not be held responsible for any damage to personal clothing or property that may arise from the use of these projects and templates. 9 Match this straight line up to the edge of a A6 card. The finished card will then have an overlap but will perfectly fit inside a large square envelope (6 x6 size) Funky Toadstools
Funky Toadstools Card This card you can make with an A6 size base card. If you don t have one already you can make one just by folding a sheet of A5 card in half or cutting a sheet of A4 card in half and folding one half of it. Because there is a decorative overlap to this card it won t fit in a C6 envelope but has been sized to fit a standard 6x6inch envelope (the large square type you can get) instead. So when you have your A6 base card print off the cut out the toadstool template shape making sure you stick to the outermost line only to cut out the whole shape first. Place the shape on a sheet of card and draw around it then cut it out. Next separate the two toadstool shapes on the template and cut off the stalk bits too. Draw around each shape on to different patterned paper or coloured card, make sure you pick a neutral colour for the stalks but funky bright colours for the tops. When you have cut out the shapes reassemble the toadstools on to the whole shape and stick it all down. Take your A6 card blank and trim off about 5mm from the top edge this will just make sure your card fits your envelope perfectly. Cover the front of your card with some coloured card or patterned paper if you need to. Take the toadstool topper you have made and stick it to your card so you match up the left edge of the largest toadstool right up to the fold on your card and also so the bottom edge matches up with the edge of your card. Finish off your card by adding your choice of greeting. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. Crafty Templates or anyone associated or manufacturers mentioned in the instructions can not be held responsible for any damage to personal clothing or property that may arise from the use of these projects and templates. 11 Base card template Prince Crown
Prince Crown Card Print off the Prince Crown template sheet and cut out the crown shape, keeping to the outside edge. Cut out the base card template then too. Fold a piece of A4 card in half and place the base card template on it matching the top edge to the fold on the card, draw around the shape and cut it out keeping the card folded to create your base card. If you have 12x12 inch size card you can also make the fold on the side rather than the top to make a side opening card. Next place the crown shape on a single sheet of card and draw around it and cut out the shape. Decorate your crown however you like with patterned papers, ribbons, gems, glitter etc. You can also add a greeting I thought this would make a cute baby card. When you ve finished decorating your crown stick it over the top of your base card matching up the straight bottom edge of your crown to the bottom edge of your base card. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. Crafty Templates or anyone associated or manufacturers mentioned in the instructions can not be held responsible for any damage to personal clothing or property that may arise from the use of these projects and templates. Please read the full terms and conditions of use, which you can find on You can also find contact details here if you need any further help with your templates or ideas for your cards.
Princess Crown Base card template
Princess Crown Card Print off the Princess Crown template sheet and cut out the crown shape, keeping to the outside edge. Cut out the base card template. You can cut out the different detail bits from the template to use as templates too like the diamond bits at the top. When you have finished decorating stick your crown over the top of your base card matching up the straight bottom edge of your crown to the bottom edge of your base card. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. Crafty Templates or anyone associated or manufacturers mentioned in the instructions can not be held responsible for any damage to personal clothing or property that may arise from the use of these projects and templates. 15 Base Card Template Match up the dashed line to the fold on your card, draw around and cut out. Dino topper Cut out and decorate then stick over the top of your shaped base card matching up the bottom edge. Dino fits in a C5 size envelope Dino
Dino Card Print off the dino template and cut out the base card template. Fold a piece of A4 card in half and place the base card template on it matching up the dashed line to the fold on the card. Draw around it and cut out the shape while you keep the card folded to create your shaped base card. Next cut out the dino shape from the template and draw around that on to a piece of card. Cut out the shape. Now you can decide how you would like to decorate your card. I chose to use felt to give an appliqué look to my card but you can also use coloured card or patterned paper. Use the template to cut apart the different pieces of dino like his body, feet and head to use as templates to help decorating your card. When you have finished decorating dino stick him to the base card so the body lines up with it and the straight bottom edges match up too. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. Crafty Templates or anyone associated or manufacturers mentioned in the instructions can not be held responsible for any damage to personal clothing or property that may arise from the use of these projects and templates. 17 Ballet Dancer - door hanging version
Ballet Dancer - A6 card Topper Size
Ballet Dancer Card/Door Hanger There are two different sized templates you can choose from to work with, the larger one to make a door hanger and a smaller one sized to fit an A6 size card. Choose which you would like to make and print off the corresponding template sheet. The card template also has a guide for an A6 size card you can use as a template if you don t have a ready made card. To use either template simply cut it out around the outside edge of the dancer shape and then draw around her onto coloured or plain card and then cut her out. Take the template again and cut away the dress shape then draw around it on to another piece of card and cut it out ready to decorate. I made the dress nice and big so you can have fun adding lots of decoration and detail if you wanted to. You could decorate it with stamps, glitter, gems. Fabric, ribbons, lace etc. With the door hanger option there is also plenty of room to add a name or a word. When you have finished decorating the dress stick it down over the dancer shape and then finish it off by drawing on the detail of the face, hair and shoes. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. 20 Advent Calendar Decorations
Size of each calendar piece is 8 inches x 8inches you need to cut out 3 pieces. Page & pockets Back of pocket Front of pocket
Advent Calendar To make this project you will need: 3 sheets of A4 card 6 sheets of 6x6 inch patterned paper 6 eyelets and setter Glue sewing machine (optional) Ribbon Hole punch 24 sweets to fill it! Directions Print out both sheets of the calendar template. Cut out three of the pages from your sheets of A4 card, the pages are 8 inches x 8 inches so if you have a paper trimmer you can just use that to cut out the pages otherwise use the templates so draw around and cut out. Place the template over one of the pages and use the template to position then punch out holes at the top and bottom. Repeat this for a second page but with the third page just punch them out of the top of the page. If you have them put the eyelets in the holes and fix. The eyelets aren t essential but because your calendar is going to be hanging for a long time it provides extra strength. Next you need to make your pockets this took me about an hour to do so if you need to make time to do them you can always come back to it another time. All you need to do is to cut each piece of your 6x6 inch paper into 6 so you get 9 2x2 inch pieces. You can also use the pocket template on the sheet if you don t have 6x6 paper to work from. You need to cut out 48 of these squares. Place them into two piles of 24 and with one pile use the front pocket template to draw around and cut out so each one has a dip in the middle, re pile up again so you have the two piles one with the bottom of your pockets and one for the top. To make your pockets take one piece from each of the piles and place the top over the bottom keeping the patterned side of the paper facing upwards. You can use glue along each edge apart from the top edge and glue your pocket sides together or another way is to use your sewing machine to stitch the pocket sides together. Don t use doublesided tape because the pockets will come undone when you come to put your sweeties inside. When you ve finished you should end up with 24 little pockets. If you want to add some decoration to your pages you can do at this point but don t go too mad because the pockets will cover up most of the pages. Now you need to stick the pockets to your pages. Start with your pages with the 4 holes in and place 9 pockets on each one, you can lay them out in a grid fashion or you can place them haphazardly. On the last page make sure the holes are at the top of the page and then place the remaining 6 pockets on the page leaving a large gap at the bottom. Next you need to number your pockets 1-24 I ve used a combination of chipboard and sticker numbers from sets I had laying around but you could also use stamps or print out numbers from your computer to cut out and stick on. Along with the pocket number you also need to add your number 25 to the bottom of the last page. I chose not to make a pocket for the 25th but you can make a pocket if you wanted to.
Take the ribbon and cut it into strips 12cm long, it s important that the ribbon lengths are the same size, you ll need 4 lengths. Take the page with the pockets on numbered 1-9 and the page with the pockets numbered 10-18, placing the latter underneath so the holes on both pages match up then thread the ribbon through the eyelets and tie the ribbon together making sure you are keeping the knots in the same place on each of your ribbons this will make sure your calendar looks straight. Take the remaining page and tie that to the bottom of the middle page. Finally thread some more ribbon through the top holes to make a hanger. Now you can use the mini templates from the template sheet to cut out shapes from the remaining card and patterned paper scraps then stick them around the edges of your calendar. Finish your calendar by adding sweeties inside each pocket. Alternative to sweeties you could pop in a Christmas tree decoration or make little paper tags that could be hung on your tree or on a garland to count down each day until Christmas day. Have fun! This project is for adult use only as it involves using cutting tools and using materials that may ruin clothing. Crafty Templates or anyone associated or manufacturers mentioned in the instructions can not be held responsible for any damage to personal clothing or property that may arise from the use of these projects and templates.
