4 Flip-its You ll FLIP for them! After you ve cut your base, hold the Flip-its card with the larger part of the base at the bottom and the smaller at the top. Fold it in half toward you so the corners match up. Then fold up the top flap on the score lines. Turn it to the left. The smaller part is always on the left. 4 Flip-its

6 Flip-its 2.0 Many Cards Take Shape from Just One Base! Align your Flip-its card base and insert on the Magnetic Platform for perfect placement. The letter markings on the back of the dies show where to line up A to A and B to B. Die-cut additional layering panels and pieces. After you ve cut your base, hold the Flip-its card with the larger part of the base at the bottom and the smaller part at the top. Fold it in half toward you so the corners match up. 8 Stand-Ups MAKE Yours STAND Fold the card in half on the score line that the die created. Finger fold the top portion on the sides where there are score lines. Pull up the little belly button notch on the bottom portion so the card will stand up. Tip: If the Stand-Ups card comes out of the belly button notch, score the middle score line more. 8 Stand-Ups

20 Z-Fold Stand-Ups Card Die-cut the card base. Fold the card in half on the score line that the die created. Finger fold the top portion on the sides at the score lines. Instead of standing the card as intended, turn the card to the left to create a vertical Z-fold card. Die-cut additional layering pieces, and decorate the card. 20 Z-Fold Stand-Ups Card

21 Double Gatefold Stand-Ups Card Cut two panels out of cardstock that are slightly smaller than the cut lines of the die. Slide one panel through the die, under the shaped die edge and over the outside die edge, stopping at the center line. A score line will be created on the panel where the paper is on top of the die. Repeat the same steps with the second panel. Adhere the two panels together, one on top of the other. Fold the side score lines, and fold out the two shape-edged panels. 22 Inside Step-Ups Card Die-cut the card base, and fold it in half. Die-cut the Step-Ups card panel. Mountain and valley fold the card on the score lines. Adhere the Step-Ups card panel to the inside of the card base. Die-cut additional layering pieces, and decorate the card. 22 Inside Step-Ups Card

23 Hidden Panel Flip-its Card Lay the Flip-its die on cardstock, placing the small end of the die close to one edge of the cardstock and the other end of the cardstock extended beyond the large end of the die. Score along the inside of the die (large end) with a scoring tool. Remove the cardstock from the die and fold along the score line. Place the fold just inside the large end of the die blade, and die-cut. Cut off the excess along the small score lines of the extra flap up to the center die-cut lines. Fold the panel in toward the center. Hold the card with the large end of the base at the bottom and the small end at the top. Fold the card in half toward you so the corners match up. Then fold up the top flap on the score lines. Turn the card to the left. The small end is always on the left. Die-cut additional layering pieces, and decorate the card. Hidden Panel Flip-its Card 23

24 Front Drop-ins Shaker Card Die-cut the card base. Next, align the Drop-ins card front pieces on the Magnetic Platform for perfect placement. Die-cut a cardstock panel and an adhesive foam panel. Die-cut hearts and additional layering pieces. Layer and adhere the cardstock panel and a piece of acetate on the foam panel. Fill the cavity with sequins. Adhere the heart die-cuts to a piece of white cardstock cut to size. Layer and adhere the white panel behind the foam panel to create a shaker. 24 Front Drop-ins Shaker Card

26 & Tips Tricks 1. The Sizzix Extended Magnetic Platform for Wafer-Thin Dies holds my Stephanie Barnard dies in place for the perfect alignment. 2. Use Sizzix Mini Cutting Pads for smaller dies so you can roll them through the machine quickly. 3. The Sizzix Big Shot Plus Machine gives you more room to angle your card bases and avoid those speed bumps. You ll get a much better cutout and avoid those speed bumps if you slightly angle dies before rolling them through your machine. 4. The Sizzix Die Brush w/magnetic Pickup Tool makes quick work of removing little cutout pieces from my dies. The included Foam Pad acts as the perfect work surface for removing excess paper from the dies and even the cutout. 5. Use cardstock for the card base and patterned paper for the card layers. Cardstock is thicker and provides a sturdy base. 6. Use your Sizzix Glitter Cutting Pad to quickly trim cardstock by placing the Cutting Pad on top of the piece of cardstock and tearing it along the edge. To keep your Sizzix Glitter Cutting Pads fl at, flip them often. The Sizzix Stamper s Secret Weapon and the Mini Stamper s Secret Weapon have a double-sided Stamping/Piercing Mat that s perfect for all stamps. The smooth side of the Mat is the ideal stamping surface. At the top of the smooth Mat, the coarse bar allows for quick piercing of small projects or setting a quick brad. For larger projects, flip the Mat over to the coarse side to pierce and create. 6 Glitter Cutting PAds Always fold Sizzix Flip-its in the air or they won t fold correctly.
