1 NX APPLICATION NOTE and Continuity Mode This document describes how the Dynalab NX Tester containing a Guided test point board is used to control Guided Assembly Boards. 2 Example The below example will be used throughout this document to explain the integration between the Guided Assembly Board and the Dynalab hardware/software solution. 3 Wiring NX TESTER Test Point Board BIN-W BIN-W BIN-W Note: If the Tester power is turned off and the +5VDC to the s is turned on, all s will light. An optional power switch or a Control Port (5-060) can be used to turn off the power to the s GROM X ACK PROBE Optional Power Switch (All 's will light if power is turned off to the Tester) +5 VDC Note: Cannot exceed 5. VDC Connect to screw on bottom of NX Tester Warning: Damage will occur to diodes if the cathode is accidently connected to ground and the anode is connected to +5VDC. 4 Programming Fixture Block Table Each Fixture Block must have a single defined switch. The switch can be given any arbitrary name. The cavity s MUST be explicitly named followed by the actual pin name The for the Fixture Block MUST be explicitly named A Fixture Block explicitly named X-PROBE MUST be created for wires that are only terminated on one end. The operator will touch each flying lead to this point A Fixture Block explicitly named X-X MUST be created if grommets are being applied to a wire. 6 Connections Before entering any data, the selected phase MUST be selected by a Test - Guided Workflow Item. This disables the Connection View grouping of common points.
