1 RF Reversible Slate Roof Step 1 Step 2 White Base Gray (12:1) Step 3 White (GT002-W) Base Wood* (GT002-BW) Apply Base Wood over the wooden beams and window trim with a #3 (Painting) brush. Be careful not to apply too much paint. Use a light hand (avoid painting into the deeper areas) to bring out the texture. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Step 4 Dab a very small amount of a mixture of White and (12:1) onto a #12 () brush, and brush onto a paper towel to remove excess paint. With an extremely light touch, apply over the entire surface of the shingles to bring out the mid tones. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Base Wood* Dab a very small amount of mixed with a drop or two of Base Wood onto a #12 () brush, then dab the brush onto a paper towel to remove excess paint. With a feather light touch, apply over the surface of the wood, to create highlights. 2 RF Reversible Slate Roof Step 5 Using a #3 (Painting) brush, Apply Base Gray over the surface of the stones on side 2, avoiding the wood trim of the window. Use a light touch, leaving the deeper areas unpainted to preserve the texture. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Step 6 Cardboard (GT002-CB) Apply Cardboard to random stones on the stone facing using either a #3 (Painting) or a #1 (Details) brush. This will add further texture and interest to the stones. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Step 7 Dab a very small amount of onto a #12 () brush, then dab the brush onto a paper towel to remove excess paint. With a feather light touch, apply the color over the entire surface of the stone facing and slate shingles to create highlights. Let the paint Step 8 Shallow Water Seaweed Green (GT002-SG) Apply Shallow Water Seaweed Green to the mossy areas on the roof using a #1 (Details) brush. 3 RF Reversible Slate Roof Step 9 Stucco* (GT002-ST) Apply Stucco over the entire surface of the stucco using a #1 (Detail) brush. Feel free to apply the paint into the indentations, since this area will have a wash to bring out the natural imperfections in the stucco. Or use a light touch, if you prefer, to enhance the texture. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Step 10 Black (GT002-B) Apply a light coat of Black (very diluted with water) to the entire surface of the stucco using a wet #12 () brush. Immediately and gently wipe off the excess paint with a paper towel, leaving some of the paint behind. You may decide to use an alternate weathering color such as Base Wood or Earth Stone instead of black. If you prefer a lighter stucco, you can skip this step. 4 WL Stone Center Window Wall Step 1 Using a #3 (Painting) brush, apply over the entire surface of the stones on both sides. Use a light touch, leaving the deeper areas unpainted to bring out the texture. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Step 2 Cardboard (GT002-CB) Apply Cardboard to random stones and the window trim on both sides using a #1 (Detail) brush. This adds variety to the stones. Let the paint Step 3 Dab a very small amount of Stone Edge onto a #12 () brush, then brush onto a paper towel to remove excess paint. 6 Step 1 FL Stone Floor Apply over the entire surface and edges of the piece with a #3 (Painting) brush. Since this is an interior floor, feel free to apply the paint into the cracks create a more refined finish. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Step 2 Black Using either a #1 (Details) or a #3 (Painting) brush, paint a few stones a slightly darker color by mixing Base Gray with Black. This will add more variation to your floors. Let the paint Step 3 Cardboard (GT002-CB) Black (GT002-B) *Mix with just a drop or two of Black. Apply Cardboard to random stones on using a #1 (Details) or a #3 (Painting) brush. 7 FL Stone Floor Cavern Stone (GT002-CD) Step 5 Dab a very small amount of Cavern Stone onto a #12 () brush, then brush onto a paper towel to remove excess paint. With a feather light touch, apply over the entire surface and edges of the piece to bring out the highlights. Let the paint dry before moving to the next step. Apply a light coat of (very diluted with water) to the entire surface of the floor using a wet #12 () brush. Be sure to get the paint into the cracks between the stones. Immediately and gently wipe off the excess paint with a paper towel, leaving some of the paint behind. Pro Tip: Use an alternate weathering color such as White instead of. If you prefer darker floors, you can skip this step.
