That is difficult since it is all so yummy. Look at the wild flowers, how they bounce in the breeze. Look at the wisdom in an ancient face. Look at the intrigue and the mystery found in the night. I do want to paint it all because painting helps preserve the moment. The writer was addressing questions his 16 year old daughter asked right after the shootings - mainly the "why". He said, "Sometimes men and women lose touch with all the beauty and all the good that's in the world, and all they want to do is spread...hate and pain and chaos.... Tonight all we know is about the evil in this man..." the dark night seems constant, growing deeper and colder. But in the morning we'll start hearing stories of "unimaginable courage and heroism...goodness and sacrifice and love, in the face of (that) evil....remember that darkness is driven out by the light...and it's our place...to become a source of light in the world." He went on to say, "But more important... keep on dancing. "Weaver's Helper" Art Sanchez Member Spotlight: Dianna Wilson Four Month One Woman Show Dianna Wilson has been chosen to display her art at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield at Hwy 36 and Hwy 121 from February 1, 2013 to May 30, She will be displaying 9 large canvasses on the permanent Public Art exhibit space located on the main concourse. She will be using rusted farm implements salvaged from the original Brunner Dairy Farm to create oxidations transfer patterns on organic handmade papers. Her goal by incorporating this process, is for her paintings to achieve the natural tones, textures and the unexpected details that occur naturally in nature. She will also be using overlays of the grid mapping system to honor the past and present heritage of Broomfield. This exhibit is part of the Art for Awhile Program created by the Broomfield Public Art Committee. (Pictures are forthcoming as soon as the paintings are finished)
