Join the Art Market to turn your treasures into cash! You may rent your own 10x10 foot space or bring in a few items for us to display. Rental space from $25-$100 for the month. We take care of sales, advertising, and sales tax for a 10% commission. No junk art, crafts, antiques, pottery, baskets and collectibles. Call to reserve your space very limited number of spaces. They may be contacted via at necheritage@gmail.com or via their website at The Grasslands Inspiration: Looking East is open to all artists/photographers, regardless of residence. Artists/Photographers are encouraged to use the entire year to visit the Northeastern Colorado plains/historic Weld County. Artists are encouraged to create paintings, take photographs, plein air paint, or sketch outdoors and return to their studios to create a memory. Their visions will be shared with others at the NCHL Grasslands Inspirations Art show and sale in September. Participants are encouraged to document where and when they created their works so the information can be posted at the show. Any media eligible - both 2 and 3 dimensional. Photography may be black and white, color or digitally enhanced. Gallery wrap edges are acceptable as frame. A wire is required to hang. DATES. 2015: Art and Photo creation August 29 Saturday: Deliver artwork to Michener Library 10-noon No parking restrictions on Saturdays. September 11 Friday: Artists Reception 4-6 PM at the Mari Michener Art Gallery September 26 Saturday: Pick up unsold work, 10AM-12 Noon Show will be limited to 100 works In the event of too many entries, at least one entry from each registered artist will be hung in the show. Artwork will be displayed at Mari Michener Art Gallery at Michener Library on the UNC Campus in Greeley.

Admission is free and open to the public. I will digitally enhance a photo, transfer to canvas or watercolor paper and alter the image further using paint, oil pastel and pencil to complete my artistic vision. First of all, I d like to say a huge THANK YOU to Darlene Sall for her dedication to last year s newsletters. Her publications were always beautiful and full of great information! This year, I will be assuming the duties of newsletter editor, and would like to offer a brief introduction: My name is Julie Dillon, and I live east of Greeley Barnsville to be exact! My husband, John, and I have raised Hereford and Angus cattle for over 30 years. I also have four quarter horses, three dogs of the mutt-variety, ten cats that think they are boss, eight busy layer hens, and a very naughty rooster who challenges me every chore time! Art has been a passion of mine since I was ten years old, and received my first set of oil paints from an artist-friend of my parents, Miss Rosalynn. I love to paint, draw, and write. I have worked in the art and design fields consistently throughout the years, from one extent to another, and currently work with my son in our graphic design business. This year, the GAA newsletter will be a bit different, as a seasonal publication, rather than monthly: Fall, Winter, and Spring. However, you will still receive regular updates on upcoming events and announcements, via , between editions. Of course, our press releases can still be found in the Greeley Tribune and the DDA s Downtown Greeley Happenings website, too! I WELCOME any announcements and photos from you, our members, of the events you attend (receptions, en plein air groups, etc.) Photos add SO much interest to our newsletters, and it s very inspiring to see our ARTISTS IN ACTION!
