Yardage requirements for this pattern may allos for excess yardage to accommodate specific placement of motifs or to allow for any fussy-cutting to achieve the finished quilt design. While every attempt has been made to give accurate measurements, yardage requirements, and construction directions; this does not allow for personal variations in measuring, cuttin, and or sewing. The enclosed directions were used in the the construction of the original quilt.

4 Directions: Use 1/4 seam allowance and press all seams open unless otherwise directed Flying Geese Blocks: 1. Place a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 Charcoal square on top of a 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 Magenta piece, Right sides together. 2. Sew a diagonal line from corner to corner on the Charcoal square as shown. 3. Trim excess charcoal fabric leaving a 1/4 seam. Press fabric open. 4. Repeat this process on the other side completing a Flying Geese unit. 5. Continue making Flying Geese units for each 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 fabric piece in each color. You will have 21 total Flying Geese units. Bordered Blocks 6. Sew a 2 1/2 x 8 1/2 Stripe fabric strip to opposite sides of an 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 Blue Flower fabric. 7. Sew a 2 1/2 x 12 1/2 Stripe fabric strip to the remaining sides of the Blue Flower fabric. Make 3 Bordered Blocks. Quilt Assembly: SECTION 1 8. Begin by piecing together Flying Geese blocks in the order shown for section Sew an 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 Dot fabric to the top of a Bordered Block. Sew this unit to the right side of the Flying Geese unit. 10. Attach an 8 1/2 x 20 1/2 Pink Flower fabric to the bottom to complete SECTION 1. SECTION Sew together the Flying Geese blocks in the order shown for section Attach the 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 Dot fabric to the bottom of the Flying Geese unit to complete SECTION 2. SECTION Join the 8 1/2 x 16 1/2 Pink Flower fabric lengthwise to the 4 1/2 x 16 1/2 Stripe fabric. 14. Attach a Bordered Block to the bottom of the unit as shown in the diagram to complete SECTION Sew sections 1-3 together to complete the top half of the quilt top.

5 SECTION Sew together the Flying Geeses blocks in the order shown for section Join the 8 1/2 x 12 1/2 Pink Flower fabric lengthwise to the 4 1/2 x 12 1/2 Stripe fabric. 18. Attach a Bordered Block to the end of the Flower/Stripe unit as shown. 19. Finish by attaching the Flying Geese unit to complete SECTION 4. SECTION Sew together the Flying Geeses blocks in the order shown for section Attach ther Flying Geese unit lengthwise to the remaining 8 1/2 x 20 1/2 Pink Flower fabric to complete Section Join sections 4 and 5 to complete the bottom half of the quilt top. 23. Join the top half and bottom half to finish the quilt. 24. Layer backing, batting and quilt top. Baste. 25. Quilt as desired. 26. Join together binding strips end-to end. Bind.
