4 ** Cut vertically one-way print *** See pattern Also Needed: 48 x 65 batting, threads to match, scissors, straight pins, rotary cutter, acrylic ruler, mat, and fusible web. Directions: 1. Sew together (1) each 1 ¾ x 10 ½ pieces of CX4768 Limeade, CX7615 Aqua, CX6929 Clementine, CX5514 in order left to right. Keep motifs upright. Make (12) 5 ½ x 10 ½ units total. Set aside. 2. For large pinwheel block units place one CX7615 Lime 6 square right sides together on top of one SC5333 Kryptonite 6 square. Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner. Sew ¼ on each side of the drawn line. Cut apart on the drawn line. Press. Trim each half square triangle unit to an accurate 5 ½ square. Repeat with the remaining CX7615 Lime and SC5333 Kryptonite 6 squares. Make (4) total. Repeat using CX7615 Aqua and SC5333 Caribbean 6 squares and CX7615 Clementine and SC5333 Coral 6 squares. Set all aside. 3. For small pinwheel blocks (5 ½ square) repeat the process in Step #2 using CX4768 Aqua 2 ½ squares and CX6929 Aqua 3 ½ squares. Trim each half square triangle to an accurate 3 square. Sew (4) half square triangles together, as shown, to make (1) 5 ½ square pinwheel. Make (3) pinwheel blocks total. Repeat using CX ½ squares and CX6929 Clementine. Make (3) 5 ½ blocks. Repeat using CX4768 Limeade and CX6929 Lime. Make (2) 5 ½ blocks total. Set all blocks aside. 4. Trace (9) 3 ¼ circles onto the paper side of the fusible web. Rough cut out. Iron (3) each on SC5333 Coral, Caribbean, and Kryptonite. Cut out. Remove paper backing, Iron one circle onto the right side of one CX ½ x 10 ½ piece as shown. Using matching thread, hand or machine stitch around the raw edges of the circle. Machine satin stitching was used in this quilt. Make (3) each of Caribbean, Coral, and Kryptonite. Set aside. 5. To assemble quilt by row from top to bottom: Row #1 Start with a Lime 5 ½ half square triangle, add another Lime 5 ½ half square triangle as shown. Refer to photo. Next, add a CX4768 Aqua 5 ½ square, followed by a CX ½ square. Add a 5 ½ x 10 ½ stripe unit, followed a CX ½ square and end with a 5 ½ x 10 ½ stripe unit. Keep motifs upright. Row #2 Sew the remaining (2) Lime 5 ½ half square triangles together as shown. Add a striped unit, a 5 ½ Coral pinwheel, a 5 ½ x 10 ½ Coral circle unit, CX7615 Aqua 5 ½ square, CX ½ square, and a Lime circle unit. Sew row to right side of Row #1. Row #3 CX ½ square, Aqua circle piece, CX6929 Aqua 5 ½ square, CX ½ square, CX7615 Clementine 5 ½ square, stripe unit, Aqua 5 ½ half square triangle. Refer to photo for placement. End with a CX6929 Clementine 5 ½ square. Join to quilt.

5 Row #4 Begin with a stripe unit followed by a CX7615 Clementine 5 ½ square. Add another stripe unit followed with an Aqua 5 ½ pinwheel. Add an Aqua circle block. Follow with (2) Aqua half square triangles to complete the large pinwheel as shown. End with a CX ½ square. Join to quilt, matching seams as needed. Row #5 Sew an Aqua pinwheel to the bottom of a CX7615 Lime 5 ½ square. Add a Lime circle block followed by a CX4768 Limeade 5 ½ square. Add a stripe unit, followed by a CX ½ square and a CX6929 Lime 5 ½ square. End with a stripe unit. Join to the quilt. Row #6 Sew a CX4768 Aqua 5 ½ square to the bottom of a stripe unit. Add (2) Coral 5 ½ half square triangles as shown, followed by a CX6929 Lime 5 ½ square and a CX ½ square. Add a Coral 5 ½ pinwheel, a Coral circle block, and end with a CX6929 Aqua 5 ½ square. Join to the quilt. Row #7 Sew a stripe unit to the bottom of a CX6939 Coral 5 ½ square. Follow with (2) Coral 5 ½ half square triangle units. Refer to photo for placement. Add a Lime circle block. Follow with a stripe unit, a Coral 5 ½ pinwheel, and a CX ½ square. Join to quilt. Row #8 Sew a CX7615 Aqua 5 ½ square to the bottom of a Lime pinwheel. Follow with an Aqua circle block, a stripe unit, and Aqua pinwheel, a CX7615 Lime 5 ½ Square, CX ½ square, and a stripe unit. Join to quilt. 6. For backing, from CX7615 Lime cut (1) W.O.F. x 66 piece. Remove selvage edges. From the remaining yardage cut (2) 6 wide pieces vertically. Sew together across the 6 edge. Keep motifs upright. Sew pieced strip to one side of the 66 piece. Trim off excess to make approximately 50 x 66 piece. 7. Layer backing, batting, and quilt top. Baste. 8. Quilt as desired. 9. Bind quilt using CX ½ wide strips, pieced as needed for length.
