The club is a member of the Federation of Metal Detector and Archeological Clubs Inc. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of metal detecting as a hobby. No brand or model of metal detector is endorsed by the club. Membership is open to the public with the only requirement being that all members follow the Treasure Hunters Code of Ethics. Club dues are $25.00 per family yearly. Any comments or stories that you would like to contribute to your newsletter are always welcome. MEETINGS: First Tuesday of each month. 2 The Secretary's Report Notes were taken by Tony Morris. The general meeting of The Three Forks Treasure Hunter s Club took place on April 1, The meeting was called to order by President Paul Mattes at 7:30 with 30 people in attendance. Pledge of Allegiance then National Hunt talk about Saturday and Sunday, come help. Kid s Hunt Can at the front, please donate. Chuck s taking the possible outing location map and info to Gary Martin. Chuck talked about the North/South Hunt he went to. Jerry asked about raffling headphones for the FMDAC at the National Hunt. Our visitors were Roy Chester and his grand daughter from Council Hill. National Hunt entries are way down this year about 100 short. Lee had to put most entry fees into silver dimes. We need a lot of help burying. Next Nancy gave the Treasurers Report. She told everyone to bring all unsold raffle tickets to the Hunt so they can be sold there. We will have two $5.00 Gold Coins as prizes. We have 137 people entered in the National Hunt so far. The Huntley Memorial Cache Jar is up front so you can add more donations. Bring donations and prizes to the Hunt. Next was the sharing of the prize donations, then we took a break. Richard Carr and Francis Tracy then announced the Find of the Month winners. The meeting closed at 8:45 PM. We Need a Vice President and a Secretary Here are some of the lucky Detector winners.

4 National Hunt 2003 Hello everyone! Saturday First I'd like to say Three Forks members stand up and take a bow, you came through with flying colors! This year numbers were way down from last year. It looked like it was going to be rough making everything work and getting everything done. We had 24 people getting fields laid out and coins buried. Ray Yerby made a dozen more burying pipes. Jason Stamps borrowed a PA system from their church which made it really nice. Kevin & Julie Kastler brought out sandwiches for lunch, don't know who brought the rest, but everything I tried was GOOD! Kenneth Dotson showed up from Colorado with stories and pictures of the second grand-child (It's a BOY). Jerry Harlin put all the detectors together again. We did have a Silver Eagle drawing for those who worked Saturday, the winners were Chuck Marcum, Francis Tracy, Mary Tracy, Ray Yerby, Jack Cooper, Mike Plunkett, Terry Archer, Gary Young, Christopher Linke, Lee Linke. Chuck had a good night hunt, not many showed up, but those that did had a good time! Those that helped but not mentioned above Gene& Nancy Coffey, Cody Plunkett, Eddie Tamplin, Paul Mattes, Carol Cooper, Jim Simmons, Glenn Briley, Tom Neville, Paul Turley Hopefully I didn't miss anyone? Sunday Mike, Lisa & Cody had concessions I can testify the biscuit & gravy, and brisket were A-OK Jack & Carol made badges again this year. Eddie handled the Prize Boards and Donations which I personally appreciated! Terry Humphries TME came as usual and set up. Robert Proenza from American Detector Distributors came and set up with books and digging tools. Chuck ran a very wet Deep Competition with 18 entries. Wally had the best seat, Mary tried to keep him dry, he was taking care of the paper work! The rest of us got wet. Winners- First and Second tied : Les Taylor, Jim Webb with 10 Points Third: Mark Lehman with 9 Points Fourth tied : Bill Welsh, Tom Hale with 6 Points Paul ran the Ladies Hunt with 23 entries: Marilyn Theiss from Kansas City, Mo. won the Ladies Detector Silver Half Hunt had 86 entries and was over quick as usual. Gary ran another GREAT Kids Hunt( With Cathy's help) had 21 entries: Racritia Hobson from Oronogra Mo. won the Kids Detector Vicki had 5 Toddlers Francis ran the Gold Coin Hunt with 76 entries Main had no rain but plenty of mud, 137 entries.
