It will be held on August 24th at 6 p.m. at the Sugar House Park s Sego Lily Pavilion, 2100 South 1330 East. You re welcome to bring your entire family. Bring your detector for the Token Search. If you find a Token you will receive a prize. Woohoo! Don t forget! Last name A to L bring a dessert or rolls, and last name M to Z bring salad or chips. The club will provide water, soda, and condiments. If you bring a BBQ you will receive a Christmas raffle tickets for your effort. If you like BIG silver, you will like this month s raffle. I d like to thank Johnny Gallegos for giving the club an update on the club website. The website is innovative and has useful information. There are a lot of useful tools to aid you in your metal detecting quests. We ll see you at the picnic! 4 News Stamp & Coin Show Today at the Sons of Utah Pioneers 10 am to 4 pm. Bottle Show on Sept. 2nd, 9 am to 4 pm, 3100 S. Redwood Road ANA's World's Fair of Money Aug. 1st - 4th The US Mint were showing off the 1933 Double Eagles and 1974 D Aluminum cent they confiscated. The US Treasury was showing their $500,000,000 treasury note and other high denomination currency. He said that the statute of limitation had expired. Then he used the analogy if someone stole your car you still own the title of ownership to it. If they came back and asked, "Does this car match the car you used to own?" Then the original owner still claim the car, because the title does not expire. They said that a mint employee illegally stole the coins and sold it to the Mr. Switt. I think the world mints (i.e. Canada) had better displays and presentation than the US Mint.
