6 ANA is Hosting National Coin Week (NCW) April 15 21, 2018 The theme is: CONNECTING CULTURES From Many, One A Plea to all members - Let s get involved! It s that time of the year again, NCW is April 15-21, right around the corner and I would like to see our club take a more active roll in this program. The ANA has sent me a very nice bronze medal and two runner up medals to be awarded for participation in NCW. I thought it would be nice if we could have an exhibit or two displayed at our meeting or at the picnic. Just something simple that would be the size of an Allstate Display case to start. Once the exhibit is displayed we could then critique it, so that it might be improved or refined. The idea is to get something started if you are a first-time exhibitor. The exhibit(s) could then be used elsewhere to promote our club and/or NCW. Remember an exhibit could be one coin i.e. My Favorite Coin or a complete collection i.e. Lincoln Cents or Regular Issue Wheat Cents You should start by selecting a title for your exhibit and be guided accordingly. If you want to exhibit and/or need a display case, let one of the board members know so arrangements can be made. Additional information regarding exhibit guidelines can be found on the ANA s web site. Youth members would also be awarded 10 YN dollars for preparing an exhibit and compete for the ANA medals. The membership would vote for the exhibit they like best as NCW Exhibit Winner. If you have questions or would like additional assistance feel free to contact me by phone or . Happy Exhibiting!
