2 Heath Evans Featured Speaker at s 9th Annual Shine the Light Gala Saturday, March 10th 2018 Boca West Country Club Heath Evans a West Palm Beach native and former NFL running back has more than just a passion for football. This athlete turned philanthropist is on a mission to end child sexual abuse. For years Heath has worked to raise awareness about the truths of childhood sexual abuse and to provide counseling to the many victims he has met along the way. "I want to make all children feel safe from predators, and we'll do that by making the rest of the world care about this issue as much as I do, said Evans. Heath Evans serves as an analyst for numerous NFL Network programs, appearing weekly on "NFL Total Access." He's known for his sharp wit and honest commentary, and has never had a problem speaking his mind. Prior to landing at NFL Network, Evans enjoyed a stellar 10-year NFL career, highlighted by a Super Bowl Championship in 2010 with the New Orleans Saints. He was the first fullback taken in the 2001 NFL Draft, selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round. In addition to the Seahawks and Saints, Heath played for the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. Heath played college football at Auburn University. He averaged more than 4 yards per carry as a running back for the Tigers. He was a two-time All State high school tailback in West Palm Beach. Today, Heath resides in Southern California, with his two daughters.
