1 GENERAL TECHNICAL INFORMATION Number of cast: 3 (2 female performers, 1 male musician/performer) Number of crew: 1 production manager/operator Running time: 70 minutes (no interval) Staging: The show can be staged in a traditional an end format or on three sides (as in plan below) depending on the requirements of the venue Minimum venue requirements: NB, requirements listed are a guideline for touring venues. A full touring tech spec is available on request. Please contact China Plate with any queries. Set requirements: 5.5mx5.5m playing space, 4m grid height. The show can be played end on or on a thrust playing space. The show can not be performed in the round. If the piece is performed end on, the pianist position is moved upstage left to face the audience. INTERNATIONAL TOURING (outside of Europe): Freighting details available on request. Alternatively, set can be sourced and made locally. The venue must cover all flights, excess luggage charges, accommodation and PDs unless otherwise agreed. EUROPEAN TOURING: As above. Alternatively, set and crew can travel in a medium-wheel based crew van. Ferry and diesel must be covered by the venue unless otherwise agreed. 2 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS SOUND COMPANY EQUIPMENT The following is a list of sound equipment the company is currently in possession of and intends to use on stage: 1 x electric keyboard; including sustain pedal 1 x 40W Roland Cube-40XL guitar amplifier 1 x Yoga DM-330b Dynamic Microphone with jack lead (connects to guitar amp) 1 x Packard Bell laptop running Mix Graft 6 sound program 1 x Evolution Midi keyboard connected to laptop 1 x Microphone stand with boom arm 1 x 13Amp 4 way powering laptop, Yamaha P90 and guitar amp. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Required from the venue is as follows: 1 x fold back monitor on stage for musician 2 x quarter inch jack to jack/xlr; 1 for Yamaha P90 stereo output and 1 laptop output to house mixer LIGHTING Please see the accompanying lighting plan. We will use our own lighting desk to operate the show. COMPANY EQUIPMENT The company tours the following equipment: 1x 2x 4x 1x Birdie, fixed to set piece. Pin spots LED Units Chamsys Lighting desk PRACTICALS The company tours a length of LED fairy lights (fully PAT tested) that are attached to a set piece USR and require a 13amp socket for operation. 2

3 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CONTINUED EQUIPMENT REQUIRED Required from the venue is as follows: 11x 7x 1k Fresnel with barn doors 650w Fresnel with barn doors 4x Profiles (25/50) SET The set requires a 5.5m x 5.5m playing space and the show can be played with any configuration of seating, except in the round. 2 stage weights/fly weights are required to weight one element of the set. Please see the attached plans for specifics regarding set, however the following indicates how it appears on stage: The platform (with ladder bolted to it) sits on four 1.4m scaffold legs and is supported as follows by a further 3 scaffold bars: 3

4 SET TRANSPORTATION The set is transported in one long wheel base transit crew cab van with rear loading access. EFFECTS The conclusion of the show involves the use of a glitter cradle, which drops rectangular flutter glitter (1.5x2.5cm) onto the stage for a period of no longer than 10 seconds. The cradle consists of two wooden batons with material attached between them with openings in it to allow the glitter through. One baton is fixed to a bar in the grid (or similar) and the other can be moved up and down via a series of pulleys. The cradle is operated via a line run through pulleys back to the control position. The position of the cradle is approximately DSC. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: 1 Hoover for post-show clear up ADDITIONAL/HEALTH AND SAFETY INFORMATION The conclusion of the show features a performer throwing a small amount of feathers into the air. Signs are therefore required to warn anyone who may have an allergy prior to the show. For further information on this hazard please refer to the accompanying risk assessment (performances). We require lighting, sound and the glitter cradle to be operable by one person from one position i.e. the control room. A broom is required for the get out in order to clear the stage of glitter and feathers. A hand-held vacuum cleaner is desirable when possible. 4
