SCHOOL DEADLINE Friday 9 November 2018 Your application must be ready to send off by this date.
UCAS DEADLINE 15 October 2018 applications for medicine 15 January 2019 applications for the majority of undergraduate courses should arrive at UCAS by 18:00 (UK time). The reference needs to be completed before the application can be sent to us. 24 March 2019 some art and design courses have a 24 March deadline; applications should arrive at UCAS by 18:00 (UK time). Others have a 15 January deadline check course details in our search tool to confirm the correct deadline). The reference needs to be completed before the application can be sent to us.

Research Careers Research careers to focus your aspirations and set the context for your new course choices. Make sure you know how your subject, course, and qualification choices can open career options
UCAS COURSE SEARCH -
Course Selections and Fee Codes You can make a maximum of five choices on your application. If you apply for fewer than five choices to begin with you can add more later as long as you have not replied to your offers. Make sure you check the application deadline for your courses. If you are studying BTEC qualifications please enter your reference number which you can get from Mr Ellis in Exams. The fee code for MOST applications is 02. If you are having your tuition fees paid for you by a sponsor or parents/carers then it is is only for don t know yet.
Teacher References You need to send your teachers the reference form which is on your form google classroom. They need to know what courses you are potentially studying so they can tailor your reference accordingly. You will not know your projected grades for your A level subjects until you have received these back so you can t upload this information to your UCAS application until this is done.
Personal Statement You only submit one statement even though you are applying for 5 courses. If your choices are quite different from each other you will need to blend your statement carefully so all five admissions tutors feel it is relevant to their specific course. Applying for joint honours or combined degrees engage with both subjects fairly equally and if you can draw connections between the two subjects, even better!
Personal Statement Get the tone right in your language if you want to convey the right message. If you sound boring the admissions team will doze off. Show passion and enthusiasm. Why that course how have you been inspired? Talk about what you ve studied and show you are eager to learn more at university. Shout about work experience to show you have passion outside school too; what have you learned from your part time jobs of work placements? Hobbies and achievements you are especially proud of.
Personal Statement: Top five No-Nos: Exaggerations; Bad language; Irrelevant Information; Negativity; Spelling Mistakes.
