1 SCHOOL PRIZE LIST * MELFORT EXHIBITION * JULY 20, 21, SCHOOL WORK Exhibits must be work of the Exhibitor No entry fee required ONE entry per person will be allowed in each class An urgent appeal is made to all teachers to assist in making the School Work Section a good exhibit, which will give the public the correct idea of what the educational authorities in this area of Saskatchewan are trying to do. It is better to have a School Work Section with a lesser number of outstanding entries than a large number of inferior entries, and it should be remembered that the entries are in competition, one with the other. 1. Teachers are asked to send in ONLY the THREE best pieces of work from their classroom for each class in this book. For example, Class 86, Grade 6, Dioramas. Teachers make entries by June 29, Attention is drawn to the fact that Committees welcome entries from individuals, schools and school classes. An individual can only enter if he or she checks with their classroom teacher first to see if the teacher has already entered. If the classroom teacher hasn t entered, the individual can enter then; one entry per person per class. 3. Only one name on the entry tag will be accepted! Except where otherwise specified. 4. All entries must be the work of the individual. 5. HANDWRITING RULES: Passages must be copied as they are printed A new line must be started when indicated in the new passage Punctuation marks must be included The overall presentation of the entry is judged Each entry must be written on a page or sheet of lined paper 6. The actual entry must be submitted, not a photo of the entry. 1
2 Entry forms should be sent separate from the parcel of exhibits: the name of the Exhibitor must be attached to the right hand bottom corner of each Exhibit and also entry tags. Secure tags with staples or string, TAPE DOES NOT WORK. Exhibitors should read the the back of their tags for possible comments. Where individual entries are made, only one entry per person in each class will be allowed and entry forms should be in the Melfort Agricultural Society Office by 4:00 PM on July 13, NOTE: Please put your name and class number on the back of entries, if possible. You could use pencil. NOTE: If possible, try to have all of your school work in by Wednesday evening, July 18, 2018 (7:30-8:30 PM). Your school work entries can be picked up on Sunday, July 22, 2018 between the hours of 8:00-9:00 PM. School Work prize money may also be ready to pick up at this time.
