SC5600 The Solent and Approaches The Notices to Mariners (NMs) listed below apply to the latest edition of SC5600 (16 th Edition) published on 26 th May Temporary/Preliminary NMs L6707(P)/15 ENGLAND South Coast Approaches to Portsmouth and Portsmouth Harbour Works. 1.Work on the Capital Dredge Programme in Portsmouth Approach Channel has commenced. Over the next 12 months extensive dredging operations and associated activities will be conducted within, and alongside the approach channel to Portsmouth Harbour. 2.Special buoys have been deployed approximately 20m east of the Bravo Trot mooring buoys (the trot being on the opposite side of the channel to Middle Slip Jetty HMNB) within Portsmouth Harbour. 3.Until the works are complete, mariners should exercise caution in the area as, temporarily, Admiralty Charts may not reflect the latest information. Charts will be updated when works are complete. 4.
