2 Cutting Directions Fabric #1 Tan Dots - 1 squares 5 x 5 for HST - 1 squares 4 1/2 x 4 1/2-6 squares 3 x 3 for HST - 3 squares 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 Fabric #7 Light Green - 4 squares 3 x 3 Fabric #8 Dark Green - 4 squares 3 x 3 Camping Prints Light background - 1 square 4 1/2 x 4 1/2-2 squares 3 x 3 for HST Camping Prints Dark Trunk - 1 square 5 x 5 for HST - 1 square 4 1/2 x 4 1/2-2 squares 3 x 3-1 square 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 BLOCK Fabric REMEMBER the blocks are set On Point. If using Directional fabric decide before cutting how that fabric will look On Point See my article at my website for additional tips! (2)

3 Directions 1) Using the 3 light, 3 light camping, and 3 light green fabric squares make HSTs using method on last page. Make 8 units - trim to 2 1/2 square 2) Using the 3 light, 3 light camping, and 3 dark green fabric squares make HSTs using method on last page. Make 8 units - trim to 2 1/2 square 3) Using the 5 light and 5 dark camping fabric squares make HSTs using method on last page. Make 2 units - trim to 4 1/2 square ONE UNIT is not used. Tree Trunk Sides 4) Following the diagram use the 4 1/2 light and 3 dark camping fabric. Draw a line on the back of the camping fabric. Sew ON the line Trim away and press open Measures 4 1/2 square 5) REPEAT step #4 following the diagram use the 4 1/2 light camping and 3 dark camping fabric. Draw a line on the back of the camping fabric. Sew ON the line Trim away and press open Measures 4 1/2 square (3)

4 6) Following the diagram use the 4 1/2 dark camping square, one 4 1/2 HST and both light 4 1/2 squares Measures 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 Sew The Block 7) Following the diagram and my photo, intermix 7 of the 2 1/2 HST units And one 2 1/2 tan dot square. NOTE Direction of the fabric Measures 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 8) Following the diagram sew the unit from Step #7 to the left side of the tree trunk unit NOTE Direction of the fabric Measures 12 1/2 x 8 1/2 (4)

5 Sew The Block 9) Following the diagram and my photo, intermix the remaining 2 1/2 HST units one 2 1/2 tan dot square and one 2 1/2 dark camping block NOTE Direction of the fabric Measures 4 1/2 x 12 1/2 10) Following the diagram sew the unit from Step #9 to the top of the tree trunk unit NOTE Direction of the fabric Measures 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 (5)
