3 Corner Unit Tutorial Step 1 Step 2 Fabric #11 both 4 7/8 squares in half on the diagonal to make 4 triangles Fabric #6 all of the 2 7/8 squares in half on the diagonal to make 8 triangles Step 3 Fabric #12 - Lay out your pieces before sewing. I find this helps me keep them facing the correct direction. - Flip the top triangle over onto the square, right sides together - Line up the right side of the triangle even with the square as shown. - Sew the triangle along the Top edge Online Quilt Bee- Facebook group Press towards the square. When you do this you make It much easier to sew the Next triangle on. (3)

4 Step 4 Step 5 - Flip the other triangle over onto the square unit. - Line up the bottom edge of the triangle even with the square as shown - Sew the seam on the left edge- see the diagram - Press open towards the triangle this time - With the large triangle right side up, place the unit from step 4, right side down. - Sew the seam and intersect where I have the arrow. That way you do not chop off the points - Sew together. Step 6 - Line up the Diagonal on your Square ruler along the seam - Trim to 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 if needed - Make 4 corner units Online Quilt Bee- Facebook group - (4)

6 Sewing the Units Directions NOTE- For other ways to make HST units, see my book Pat Sloan s Teach Me to Sew Triangles Step 1 Step 2 - Draw a line on the back of all the light squares - Layer the dark and light square - Sew a ¼ seam on both Sides of the drawn line Step 4 -Trim squares to x using a square ruler with a diagonal line placed on the Seam.
