Stored on the memory card of your digital camera? Stuffed in shoeboxes under the bed? CALLING ALL PHOTOS! COME OUT AND PLAY! Create a game for an event or celebration, or a game about family, friends and favorite photos. Complete, detailed instructions are in the booklet that follows. Use the enclosed Organizer/Planner sheet to plan the layout of your game before beginning assembly. Choose 22 photos you will use for your game. Title the property spaces on the board with your own captions or choose from the 100 pre-printed captions included in your game. Label the property deeds on the front and back. Create the label for your game name and apply it to the board and the box. Create any custom cards you may want to add to the card deck. (This is optional.) That s it! UNLEASH YOUR CREATIVE GENIUS!

4 GETTING YOUR PHOTOS ON THE BOARD The goal is to get a 1 w x 1 1 /4 h photo into the white frame on each property space. To do this you will need to: 1 create your photos 2 apply your photos CREATING YOUR PHOTOS USE EXISTING PHOTOS - If you want to use a photo you already have, determine the part of your existing photo that will appear on the game board. Using the Photo-opoly Sizing Template, outline the part of the photo you want to use on the board with a pencil. Trim just inside the outline with scissors (cutting slightly inside the lines so they won t show on your finished photo) to the 1 w x 1 1 /4 h size needed for the board and box top. 4 PRINT YOUR OWN - Print your photos on your own printer, using your own photo paper. Do this at the 1 w x 1 1 /4 h size if possible or print a standard size photo and trim it. SCAN AND PRINT - If you want to use existing photos but don t want to cut up the originals, take the photos to a copy center and scan them or have them scanned and then print them on photo paper at the appropriate sizes. If you have a scanner, you will be able to do your own scanning. Take advantage of any opportunities to zoom or crop if available. COPY TO A CD - On your computer, alter your photos in any way you choose and create the photo you want to have on the board. Crop your photos to the 1 w x 1 1 /4 h size needed for the board. Download your photos to a CD.Take the CD to a photo finisher and have your photos printed.

5 PHOTO FINISHER - Take your CD or memory card to any number of photo finishers and have your photos printed at the 1 w x 1 1 /4 h if possible. It may only be possible to print at a standard size, in which case you will need to outline with the template and trim the part of the photo you want to use on the board. Photo kiosks are available now in many locations that allow you to conveniently print your own photos from a CD or memory card. PRINTING YOUR PHOTOS ON THE WEB - Once you have saved your image files onto your computer s hard drive, you can have them printed in a variety of ways, some of which you may be familiar with. If you have a photo finishing service you commonly use, they can print your photos in their standard method. You may need to adjust your images to fit the size you need to create the game.this may be challenging depending on the services available from your source. FOR BEST RESULTS A pre-arranged template is available at Access the Ritz Camera site at 5 the address listed here and follow the instructions through the link marked PHOTO-OPOLY. The web site will provide one print sheet that contains all the images necessary to complete your game. See the Ritzpix website for complete locations, service details and prices.this is easily your best option for ideal images for your game.the steps in the process are as follows: 1. Log on to 2. Choose your closest location (1200 locations nationwide). 3. Upload your images. 4. Select PHOTO-OPOLY print option.you will be able to crop, zoom and adjust your images to the correct sizes designed for your game. 5. Pick up your print in one hour at your chosen location or have the print mailed to you the same day. The Ritz software will allow you to zoom and crop your images to fit the correct size for printing the photos needed to complete your game board and if you wish, your box top.your photos can be printed at any one of the1200 Ritz locations in North America or you can have them sent to you by mail. APPLYING PHOTOS TO THE GAME BOARD Use the section on the enclosed template marked BOARD PHOTO included in your game to outline your photos for trimming or to check the size of your photos.

6 APPLYING PHOTOS TO THE GAME BOARD Use the section on the enclosed template marked BOARD PHOTO included in your game to outline your photos for trimming or to check the size of your photos. Outline the part of the photo you want to use on the board space with a pencil. Begin to glue your photos to the board, starting with the photo that will go on the Property A space on the board (red property). Apply a thin layer of the glue included in your game to the back of your photo. Place the photo in the box titled PHOTO A HERE on the first red property space and press down firmly. Wipe away any excess each property is lettered here glue. Going clockwise, continue placing your photos around the board. Be sure to follow the instructions on the glue pen for best results. NAMING YOUR SPACES After choosing your photos for the board you will need to title each space. There are three options for doing this: Create all your own captions Choose from the 100 pre-printed captions included in your game Use a combination of both If you choose to name your own spaces, follow the instructions in PRINTING YOUR BOARD AND DEED CAPTIONS. MAKE YOUR GAME TRULY UNIQUE! We strongly encourage you to hand write your own captions. This will give your game a much more personal look. 6

PRINTING YOUR BOARD AND DEED CAPTIONS - You can print directly from your printer onto a sheet of the uncut adhesive backed paper included in your game.

You will need three labels for each caption - one for the board, one for the deed front, and one for the deed back. If you are printing all of your captions, you will need 66 labels total.

7 PRINTING YOUR BOARD AND DEED CAPTIONS - You can print directly from your printer onto a sheet of the uncut adhesive backed paper included in your game. If this is the way you choose to go, we recommend using point type with no more than 12 characters per line, with a maximum of two lines. Each label should be 7 /16 h x 1 1 /4 w. You will need three labels for each caption - one for the board, one for the deed front, and one for the deed back. If you are printing all of your captions, you will need 66 labels total. Keep that in mind as you set up your page for printing. You need to get 66 labels out of one sheet of paper, which should be easily accomplished. After printing your captions, find the box on the template marked BOARD CAPTION. Place the box over one of your captions, making sure the caption is centered in the box, then use a pencil to lightly outline your caption. Do this for each caption. After outlining, use scissors to cut along the pencil lines, cutting slightly inside the lines so they won t show on your finished label, and create the 7 /16 h x 1 1 /4 w labels you will need for the board spaces and deeds. After all captions are trimmed to the 7 /16 h x 1 1 /4 w size, begin to apply them (see APPLYING LABELS) to your game, starting with the board. HAND LETTERING BOARD AND DEED CAPTIONS - To hand letter your own captions, use the pre-cut adhesive backed paper included in your game and the enclosed art pen. When writing your caption, a good guideline is characters per line, with a maximum of two lines.use the enclosed Organizer/Planner to practice writing your captions. 7

APPLYING LABELS Peel the label off the protective backing and expose the adhesive side of your caption. Carefully position the caption over the area marked CAPTION HERE on the board, deed front, and deed back, and smooth the entire label to the area. DEED LABELS - Find the deed that matches the first red property space on the board (deed A). Place the caption on the front of the deed in the CAPTION HERE box. 8

9 See APPLYING LABELS. Turn the deed over and place the matching caption in the CAPTION HERE box on the back of the deed. That completes the deed. Move onto the next red property space on the board and find the matching deed (deed B). Continue clockwise around the board in this way until all deeds are completed. CUSTOMIZING CARDS There are 26 pre-printed cards in your game.there are two blank cards that will allow you to add your own cards if you choose. The game will play perfectly well using only the pre-printed cards, but if you create your own cards they may be added into the 26 pre-printed cards and all cards used in game play. If you customize the two cards, use small dollar amounts on pay or collect cards and keep any movement simple, to ensure good game play. To create your own cards, you will need to handwrite your copy onto the front of the card.you may also want to create your own artwork on the card. Be sure that your cards work well in game play. 9 COMPLETING THE BOX TOP A paper sleeve covered the original box when your package was unopened. After the sleeve is removed, your actual box top has the Photo-opoly logo, a blank white bar below the logo where your tagline could be placed, four white framed areas where photos could be placed, and four caption areas where your own captions could be placed.there are several options for completing your box. OPTION #1 - The easiest way to complete your box top would be to leave the orange Photo-opoly logo as is and only add the tagline below it in the white bar. Hand write your tagline directly onto the white bar below the Photo-opoly logo with the art pen. Another option might be to create your tagline with colored paper, printed copy, cut-out or rub-on letters and apply them to the bar below the logo.that s it! Your box is complete.

VACATION 2005 WILSON-OPOLY Game of the Decade! THE SCHULTES - OUR FAMILY ROCKS! OPTION #2 - You may want to cover the Photo-opoly logo with the piece of orange adhesive backed paper included in your game. If you cover the Photo-opoly logo, you will need to create your own game name by writing directly onto the orange paper with the art pen or you may want to consider other options like rub-on, sticker, stamp, or die -cut letters. Scrapbooking stores or craft stores are a good source for these items. 10 OPTION #3 - You may want to add photos to the frames on the box top.the white frames that contain a Heart,Peace Sign, Happy Face and 4 Ever are places where you may want to place your own photos. If so, you will need to create your photos at the appropriate size, 1 7 /8 x 2 3 /8. Use the area on the template titled BOX PHOTO to outline your photo,then trim and apply your photos to the box just as you did on the board. ( has print size and zoom/crop tool in the Photo-opoly template.) OPTION #4 - If you also want to add your own captions to the box top, use the unprinted, adhesive backed paper to create your labels. Locate the area on the template titled BOX CAPTION

11 and use a pencil to outline the box. Hand write your caption. Trim the captions and apply them in the areas titled Love, Peace, Happiness, and Forever. THERE YOU GO! It s as easy as that.
