7 Computer Integrated Manufacturing Research Paper Objective: The objective of the research paper is to enable students to get an in-depth understanding of a specific topic in CIM. The paper should be based on the latest developments in the chosen topic. The information can be taken from journals, magazines, Internet, or case studies of actual implementation in companies. General Requirements: The paper should conform to the following general requirements: Length should be 5 to 7 pages (Use font size 12 and single spacing) Paper should be typed, not hand written Format: Use the following format to write the paper. 1. Abstract: The abstract can have a maximum of one paragraph (10 lines), and should provide a summary of what is covered in the paper. 2. Introduction: The introduction should introduce the technology that will be discussed in detail in the paper and should provide the necessary information as to how the technology under investigation fits into the CIM environment. 3. Literature Survey: This section should cover the various works that have been done in this area of technology. Also, the current trend and status of the topic under discussion to be presented. 4. Body of the paper: This section will provide the complete details pertaining to the chosen topic. The author of the paper is expected to divide this section into various sub-sections based on the topic and is encouraged to use figures (block diagrams, flow charts, line sketches, photographs etc.,) and tables to explain concepts. References should be identified wherever applicable. 5. Bibliography: List all the references in alphabetical order using the following format. COURSE DROPS: According to UTRGV policy, students may drop any class without penalty earning a grade of DR until the official drop date. Following that date, students must be assigned a letter grade and can no longer drop the class. Students considering dropping the class should be aware of the 3-peat rule and the 6-drop rule so they can recognize how dropped classes may affect their academic success. The 6-drop rule refers to Texas law that dictates that undergraduate students may not drop more than six courses during their undergraduate career. Courses dropped at other Texas public higher education institutions will count toward the six-course drop limit. The 3-peat rule refers to additional fees charged to students who take the same class for the third time.
