You should get a registration number either for your textbook purchased at the book store or purchased online. The assignments and due dates are given online. Reading the textbook is an integral part of learning the course material. There will be four midterm exams (September 13, October 4, October 25 and November 15) and a final exam (December 12, 8:00 am-10:00 am). You must plan your travel arrangements around these dates. The only valid excuses for missing an exam are a familyrelated crisis or a serious health problem. If you cannot attend an exam because of an athletic contest, you must notify me at least two weeks in advance. Grades: Four midterm exams (total 50%) One comprehensive final exam (35%) Quizzes and homework (200 problems on WileyPLUS) (total 15%) Bonus points: max 1% for attendance, max 1% for deportment, max 1% for working additional WileyPLUS problems (up to 100 additional problems). A/A- : % B-/B/B+: 80-89% C-/C/C+: 70-79% D/D+ : 60-69% F : Below 60%
