1 明道中學 102 學年度 Spelling Bee 英文拼字比賽辦法 修訂日期 :103 年 4 月 2 日明道中學英文科教學研究會製 壹 活動目的 : 英語為重要的國際語言, 在本校, 聽 說 讀 寫四項技能均落實於教學中, 而 VQ ( 字彙能力 ) 更是英文學習的基礎 為鼓勵同學積極擴充 VQ, 提昇英文能力, 故透過本活動, 提高同學們對英語的興趣 並透過本活動, 選拔代表本校參加校外相關比賽之選手 貳 主辦單位 : 教務處參 協辦單位 : 英文科 高中部 綜高部 國中部 國際部肆 參加學生 : 全校一 二年級 ( 含國際部 ) 初賽優勝學生伍 決賽時間 :2014 年 4 月 26 日 ( 星期六 ) 09:25~11:55 陸 決賽地點 : 明志廳柒 比賽辦法 : 一 初賽 : 各部一 二年級, 已於開學第一或第二週統一進行英文字彙測驗, 遴選參加決賽的選手 ( 各年級取 20~30 人左右 ) ( 請參閱各部的初賽辦法 ) 二 決賽流程 : ( 一 ) Level One 賽程 : 1. 選手就位 : 各部選手於 9:05 前至明志廳報到, 依領位人員指示就座, 並領取作答用紙 筆 PS. 準時開始比賽, 因此 9:05 未報到就坐的選手, 視同棄權 2. 出題範圍 :4500 字 ( 字表範圍內的單字為主, 視情況可提高難度 ) 3. 比賽規則 : A. 採淘汰制, 最後的 位選手晉級到 Level Two B. 所有選手起立 Bee Master 唸出英文單字後 ( 每題唸 2 次 ), 選手立刻將答案拼寫在答案卡上 10 秒鐘一到, 主持人宣布 時間到, 請亮答案 時, 選手須統一將答案卡舉到胸前以示作答完畢 提早或延後舉卡視同答錯, 淘汰出局, 選手必須坐下並繳回答案卡和筆, 以示出局 C. 作答完畢, 評審老師立即巡視檢查答案, 答錯者由評審老師宣布淘汰出局, 選手必須坐下並繳回答案卡和筆, 以示出局 ; 答對者站著繼續參賽 D. 比賽進行到剩下少於 35 位選手時, 啟動敗部復活條例 ( 敗部復活條例 : 當參賽者僅剩少於 35 人時, 若遇到某題較難的題目, 而導致答對的選手低於 15 人, 則答對者直接晉級, 而答錯該題的參賽者, 可全部復活, 繼續參賽 ) E. 比賽進行到剩下大約 位選手時, 便進入 Level Two 第 1 頁共 2 頁

2 ( 二 ) Level Two 賽程 : 採積分制 1. 選手就位 : 剩餘的 位選手, 上台就坐 為方便登記最後名次,Level Two 的晉級者此時要戴上號碼名牌 2. 出題範圍 :4500 字 ~7000 字 3. 比賽規則 : 採積分制, 最後的 10~12 位選手晉級到優勝 PK 賽 Bee Master 唸出 5 個單字各 2 次, 各停 10 秒, 參賽者亮出五個單字的答案, 接著請評審老師評閱 重複此步驟約四次, 以答對題數多寡來決定最後 10~12 位 PK 賽選手 ( 三 ) 優勝 PK 賽 : 採積分制 1. 選手就位 : 晉級的選手, 繼續留在台上 2. 出題範圍 :7000 字 ( 或視情況提高到 字 ) 3. 比賽規則 : 採淘汰制, 取前 10 名 Bee Master 唸出 5 個單字各 2 次, 各停 10 秒, 參賽者亮出五個單字的答案, 接著請評審老師評閱 以答對題數多寡來決定名次 重覆此步驟, 直到產生 King of the Spelling Bee 為止 捌 獎勵辦法 : 晉級優勝 PK 賽的選手, 依名次發給獎狀一幀 前十名獎金及各一本英文字典 : 第一名 2000 元, 第二名 1500 元, 第三名 1000 元 4~6 名各 800 元,7~10 名各 500 元 第 2 頁共 2 頁
