1 Instruction manual ALOUETTE 3 For 600 size Dear customer, Thank you for purchasing a Smartmodel fuselage All our team wishes you a lot of fun for building and good flights.

2 For 600 size or 50 Nitro power engine 1) In order to send more scale your fuselage, we suggest you to paint in black inside the fuselage. Please use special painting if using a nitro. 2) Front landing gear mounting. The front landing gear is really easy to build in. Unscrew the nut and introduce the landing gear into the front below hole, then screw it form inside. Please put the nut for adjusting height. 3) Main landing gear: 2 screws must cross the main wood former in order link the aluminium part of the main landing gear on the main wood former. You must place

3 and made the hole into the main woof former with a diameter of 3mn. Please use the upper wood part to place the hole. 4) Put 2 parts of wood like on the picture here under, between the upper wood part with the screw and the aluminium part. 2 wood part on the left and 2 on the right Trick: for an easy setting, use desk tape for linking all the parts together, then screw it. 5) Fix the landing gear on the aluminium main part (already fixed into the fuselage). Use nut and washer respecting the right order of mounting. Then fix the other part of the landing gear into the hole of the fuselage. Then screw it on the bottom hole. Trick: You can open more the fuselage holes if need to adapt the landing gear.

4 6) Mounting the tail boom fuselage part: Makes 5 holes on the tail boom fuselage part like on the picture here under, then set in place and adjust on the main fuselage. Locate the holes on the main fuselage then make the 5 holes. Mount and screw the tail boom fuselage part. 7) Use and mount the turbine support like here under on the picture. This wood part must be assembled and glued together. Use Epoxy to glue the parts together. When wood parts assembled and glued, then glue it under the upper cover of the tail boom fuselage. You can paint the wood part in black for more scale looking. Assembled the turbine and glue it on the wood turbine support Trick: use aluminium scotch (not supply) to represent the thermals protection of the turbine

5 Mechanic installation 8) First, disassembled the AC carter of your tail boom mechanic. Then introduce the full mechanic into the fuselage from the front. Assembled the AC carter on the tail boom. Fit and centred it (left /right). On T-rex 600, it is necessary to cut the ergot used to fix the wing stub For an easy integration, unplug the rotor head, and then place the main shaft in the middle of the upper cover. IMPORTANT: the hole on the upper cover is too small and need to be cut and adjust, depending your mechanic. You should have to move front/back all mechanics in order to centred the main shaft, taking care that the AC blades are not touching the wing stub on the tail boom fuselage. Then cut and adjust the hole for the main shaft in consequence for right adjustment.

6 Go slowly, step by step. 9) When mechanics is well fit, then centred everything and makes marks on the main wood former for fixing mechanics. Use a 3 mn diameters drill for making the hole in the former wood Please makes also hole from outside the fuselage. You have to open more the holes outside of the fuselage: use 6mn diameters in order to set in place the washer. When hole are ok (fuselage + wood former), set and screw you mechanic using the regular landing gear hole from the mechanic.

7 10) When mechanic is in place and secured (screwed) you must set in place the fuselage stays components. Mount one of the stay stoppers on the mechanics and one on the body as in the photo. Do both sides. You might need to drill a 2.5mm hole in the mechanic side frames for this. Bend the wire supplied, using the photo as reference. Slide the wire into both stoppers. Adjust the mechanics until it is sitting squarely and then tighten the stoppers to set the mechanics. Trim off excess metal. 11) Rear stabilizer assembly: locate the spare for the rear stabilizer Then mount the blades on your AC, please use 75 mn long for the AC blades if you wants to use glue the stabilizers into holes on the fuselage. Otherwise you should glue the stabilizers a little bit on the front of the holes. Like this, blades will not touch the stabilizers. You can also use a Tri-blades AC with shorter blades. Big AC blades are not necessary for scale flights. The bottom wood part should be cut a little to put the crutch in place..

8 12) Insert the wood part into the fuselage, set it in place then glue it with epoxy. Line up the left and right tail stabilizers and mark the location for the spar. Then cut off the location where the spar is to pass through. Glue the all with epoxy Trick: there is a left and a right stabilizer, take car about it! 13) Glue the crutch like on the picture here under. Drill hole of 5mn diameters under the tail boom fuselage. Please note that a wood former spare is already glued into the fuselage where thecrutch will be glued with epoxy. 14) Adjust the back cover of the AC. If need, glue the wood part to reinforce it. Adjust the AC pushrod. Use a dremel tool to cut the fuselage if need. Then screw the cover with supplied screw.

9 Please take care that there is no hurts from the pushrod on the fuselage. The AC must move like without fuselage! This is very important. If it is touching, please cut the fuselage and fit it correctly! Trick: use foam (not supplied) between tail boom and fuselage for limited the potential vibrations! The foam must not interfere the AC push rod! 15) Screw the upper cover. The upper cover can be cut around the swash plate. Swash plate must move in all direction without touching the upper cover. Please adjust it with a dremel tool if necessary. The original hole for the swash plate on the upper cover is voluntary too small and need to be cut! 16) Glue the light navigation support on the upper cover 17) Cut the front wind shield and windows following the marked outline. Be sure to leave at least a 5 mm lip for gluing. Glue the windows from inside the fuselage. You can also secure it with micro screws (not supplied up to you) 18) Set in place all the doors onto corresponding openings and temporary fix them using tape. Place the door hinges onto the doors and mark locations to drill the screw holes for the hinges. Drill 1mm diameter holes for mounting the hinges and screw them in. Please use and glue magnets to secure the doors. The locations of the magnets are very flexible and you can decide on where to glue them in. Don t forget the CG before first flight!
